C2546B108527 here, maybe we should do this in a spreadsheet for sorting reasons and than post back to the forum in a single document. If there is enough interest I will setup a script to generate a report of decoded vin data so we can have a count of each truck version and a map of all the trucks by zipcode if peope wish to provide there zip

doesnt seem to be much interest, but basically the form the dumps data into a spreadsheet and that data would be processed by some code to generate a map

Perhaps I need to start a Canadian built Vin thread if there is any interest. However I wondered if GM USA has a vintage vehicle service like they do in Canada? I sent my Vin# to GM Canada's vintage vehicle service (costs was about $20 at the time) a few years back shortly after I bought my truck, which I was pretty sure was Canadian built truck.

They sent me back a letter with a good bit of info on my truck + a copy of the options catalog available for my model at the time.
For my Vin# 2C1504815671A they were able to provide me the following info.

Trim: Beige
Paint: 5001 Woodland Green
Production Plant: Oshawa Ontario
Production Date: June 15, 1962
Shipping date: June 19, 1962
Model Number: C1504 - 2wd 1/2 ton stepside longbox
Engine: 283 CID 160 HP 2bbl V8
Engine Number: TV240486 (which is still in my truck today)
Dealer shipped to: Beny Motors Medicine Hat. Alberta (still have the dealer badge on my truck, nice piece to have)
Number Produced for sale in Canada
(same model No. only) 1,306
Dulux paint code for Woodland Green is DU-1112.

Not bad info for $20! Nice to have this kind of info to keep along with my truck. I do think I have the original seat but the build sheet (if it was under the seat springs as most are) is long gone. If any Canadian or US members that may have a Canadian built truck and want this type of info I suggest they contact GM Canada's vintage vehicle service via the GM Canada website. Mine is an Atlanta truck, c1546a141197. Was a one family truck originally sold by the same dealership where I bought my last three cars. Sadly they have no records and I'd love to know more or find the build sheet!

Those numbers are pretty close together. The build sheet shows a date of 8-26-65. Went to Edmark Chevrolet in Caldwell Idaho.

Thanks for posting the build sheet information for the 1966 C10's. Mine was a Atlanta truck built between the first batch and the 2nd batch lines which I believe you mentioned 2nd week Oct 1965 A113XXX for the 1966 model year. How they have them listed on the sheet, is it the month, or week, or day on that? Is there another sheet that decodes that information? Or, is each line item a month?.... And do you know which ones they are for the Atlanta assembly plant line list you have on that sheet you posted?
Also, was there only one Atlanta assembly plant for the C10's? Was it Doraville, GA, GM Assembly plant that made the C10's? Let me know thanks!

Also, I saw you had answered a question on the original Dealership and when it was sold new and where..... by chance, do you have that information as well?
