FYI, you can get higher quality parts if you look to companies other than LMC. Not sure about sending units but other things the quality is noticeably better from the other vendors.

I think your dealing with a rusty tank problem, i'd remove it and try and clean it out a bit and use a flash light to look inside to see how much rust is in it, if its a lot then i'd replace it, my sock was off white color and it was the original sending unit.

Agreed. If the sending unit is that rusty then the inside of the tank is just as bad.

Replace the tank if you have the money. If not, carry an extra fuel filter with you. Also add a filter before the pump.

The plugs look like it is running a little rich - but not too bad. No oil is good.

Ok guys I'm goin to a junk yard in pa Harry's u pull it very cheap compared here in ct so I was wonder what parts do I need to swap to discs all around and stay 8 lug ? What year trucks am I looking for ,last time I got a 5 lug swap for my mustang it cost me 80 bucks for everything. Spindles, axle shafts calibers, brackets master cylinder. So if I can find a donor truck I'm getting the swap, I think I need spindles lower ball joints calibers for the front and as for the rear I have no idea:) and also a master cylinder and proportion valve
