Hey Dave, glad to hear you're saving another square! Damn, we don't have to worry about spiders up here but we do have to worry about rust...ha ha. You wouldn't have to give that truck away up here either, you would probably be able to sell it for 2 or 3 grand the way it is!! Love seeing all of the rust free trucks down in you neck of the woods.

Brake work this week, Master cylinder and then the driver side rear adjuster was locked up, so I got in, freed it up and pad slapped it.

More progress on the 10 bolt, inner seals and pinion seal. The inner seals were not as much trouble as I thought they were going to be, and I'm glad I replaced them.

More 10 bolt work, but it's in the truck now! I spent my morning swapping tires and grabbing some lug nuts and studs from the wrecking yard!

Slow progress, but did manage to get the 14 bolt pinion seal replaced and the pinion housing sealed up. I broke a bolt for the pinion housing, but it didn't give me too much of an issue.

Love the truck and your videos. It took me two complete evenings to go through them all but I enjoyed every one of them. I started to watch one of them without the headphones this evening but quickly had to plug them back in. Love the sound effects and the editing. :metal: :metal:

Love the off-roading video Dave! Beautiful scenery and the cave was really cool!! I wonder if anybody was ever ambushed from that cave bad in the old west days!

Thanks Marcus, that is a tried and true technique of opening square body hoods, hell it's the only way i know lol.

More work on the truck, getting it ready for a wheelin trip tonight. Got the CB antenna mounted better, some rock lights and a few other things.

Wheelin video from last night in Nelson, NV. The K10 did awesome even with open diffs, I was diggin the extra wheelbase and slightly lower gear ratio of the 4:11's. It idled up most everything with ease.

I have been taking K10 out on more trails so figured I would at least build a skid plate for the big ass K5 tank that is hanging down all vulnerable. This is not going to be a rock crawling rig but I do want to have some fun out on the trails and not have to worry about putting a hole in the tank. I was first thinking about going crazy beefy but finally decided I would balance wight vs functionality, and expose as much of the top of the tank as possible since it's hotter than a mother here and also don't want to rip my cross members out that are holding the tank in. Sounds like some good temps for sure!

I got out and tested the skid plate, and beat up my 14 bolt but the K10 did just fine with open diffs, that length makes a huge difference. How about some video?

Superlift Shackle flip, next up is front Superlift 4" springs. When I get more dough I plan to get beefier shackles.
