Man AWESOME C50! I'm currently building a wedge bed truck and my Hodge Wedge bed has the 4 ratchet chain hold down things that are welded to the bed diamond deck. Can you post some pics of your FLUSH mounted ones ( mine are a tripping hazard) . I sure would like to cut holes in my deck floor and flush mount mine.

Nice score! Do you have the LQ4 and the 4L80e on that Handy motorcycle lift? How sturdy does it sit up there? I have one myself but thought it might get a little wobbly when lifting it up. I guess with the right supports under the oil pan and trans it could work out well like you have it.

I can image that's quite a feeling running that truck along down the hiway hauling your coupe on the deck. Not just knowing how cool it will look to all who see (that like that sort of thing), but your experience sitting in that seat holding that wheel hearing that engine, looking over that hood.

Nice shop I've been working on mine. I've got to see a lot of old-timers shops that used ways on how to save time space in their shops. I come across them Card file metal cabinets So I sorted all my bolts that I've collected over the 25 years being in the scrap and salvage business. I hang my wire above me all my water hoses are above me anything I can just tug on and pull the right length is best done that way I will get you a pic later In my shop Time is the Issue no need trying to find some that will take you 30 mins to find. Get projects done faster.

Barrett Jackson was really the initiator of all these folks thinking their $1500 junk in the garage is worth $15,000. They basically contributed to the car hobby being priced out of sight and unreachable for the "blue collar man"

"I saw one of these sell on Barrett Jackson for $150,000"

fixed for ya. If you are using I phone or the like to take pictures and rotate them on the computer. I have been told you need to save them in a different folder than the original or they will rotate back to original settings. I use android so don't have an issue with it.

hello, new to the site. i was reading your thread and wondering if you had to modify the front of the chassis in any way, due to the shorter wheel base. i just picked my c50 up and been looking at frames and all my options to do this sort of build, but was thinking a normal 1969 frame wouldnt work, i have been told the front tires sit 6'' closer to the cab than on a standard c20. and just came across this thread and was wondering if you had to make any major mods to the frame?

I set the cab on the C30 frame where the wheels were centered in the opening and extended the bed to fill in the gap. I also run single wheels up front as the dually wheels did not look right without spacers.

Re: Rottenwood Garages C50 Hauler project about to begin!

thanks, i wasnt sure if you could move the cab far enough forward to make up that distance. but guess so. that should make my build a bit easier than. keep up the good work and thanks for the reply

Its been a while and quite a few cool vehicles have sat on her deck....no telling how many school busses we have encountered!!

UPDATE: We did go ahead and swap out the rear HO72 for one out of a square body. It was time for drums and has some seal sealing issues. Out with the old....
