lol There is always room for improvements sir
For instance...That falcon gauge setup needs to eb changed out...6 Gauge AutoMeter style cluster would be nice

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Look how dark that fuel filter is on the back one! The first one looks like a kid owns it, half primered crap! The second one could be ok but judging by the way the ad is worded I bet it hasn't been on the road in a while.. Out of those 3 I'd at the half primered one!

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

ahhh I noticed that....Bad sign on the fuel filter huh? You are a wise one sir!! lol

Man, i know where your coming from :smoke:
I love engine swaps. if its not what i want, its out, and switched with a 350 or possible a nice running 400 small block if "if" can find one. now that im on board with leaving no trace of the older small blocks in my custom cruiser.... Quicksilver... Id also do the same with fords 285 4.6 liter modular engine and electronic overdrive. In that old of a car? why? itd be different then any other nicely restored stangs. and more gas savvy, more performance Oriented. up to date. maybe more expensive!!! but anyways i got a more up to date engine and computer, still looking for the fuse box and connectors to make my own custom harness. not really looking, just broke. but you get the point, if it aint broke dont fix it! unless you like something different!! ;)

Nope not from my experience. The 302 small block is a one of a kind ford engine. if your asking specifically about one of these 302s in the stang, i dont know. I once had a beautiful Lincoln town car, 89, full sized sedan with a 5.0 liter. It was strong running, was a roller engine, multi port, fuel injected. had the ford AOD. Not what everybody is thinking though. even if it did have 3.55:1 ratios, my 5500 pound lincoln could get 30 mpg, and it had straight exhaust. sounded like a hot rod, but had the looks of a nice "wolf" trade mark lincoln, huge grill, hood ornament ect. loved it lmao i can still remember running through town, everybody that was infront of me would steer clear
