With nothing to do tonight I made the lock in the tonneau cover match the rest of the truck. I'd realy like to trim the edges off it and somehow make it smooth with the box top. I just hate how the edges take away from the body lines.

Door lock is cool...but metal work is very nice.

I agree. I'm awaiting more photos of the cabs progress. I wish I could do the metal work myself but it's an art I just don't want to mess up.

I got the engine all cleaned up and ready to go to the metal shop to fit the cab to the frame. Also I put the 16:1 worm gear into the steering box and did a ton of little odds and ends . Was a productive day for sure. Hopefully in the next week or 2 it can be transported.

It's been a long time coming and feels awesome to see some major visual progress. I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel slightly!

Well my original rear bed crossmember came back from blasting really pitted so my new one arrived today. All the rest were powder coated and were just fin . Hope it fits well. No real news to share onthe cab as of yet.

Lol. It's hockey season here already even though it's still 20 c. I also got all 4 of my t3 lenses ready to glue to the h4 bases but.......I forgot to order new mixing tips for the epoxy so I'll have to wait for amazon to bring me another batch of those before I can see what all 4 will look like.

So I got all 4 t3 bulbs in the rad support and lit them up to see what they all look like on bright and low beam. Here's the results. No retrobrights for sure bt better than stock bulbs. They do look a bit better in person than these pictures.

I moved my nos coolant bottle to beside the battery. It tucks a bit under the fender and the "hot" and "cold" are still completely visible from inside the engine bay with the fender on. The deco Remy regulator box I where my headlight relays will be hidden in behind the battery.

The doors are going to get a trough kind of bracket put nder the window stop for the vacuum lock hoses to rest in so they are are not just hanging down or laying on the bottom of the door. The original catch area got a piece put in so it still had the area pushed out like stockjust with no hole. A few more small things and hopefully we can see the drivers door with a skin on it tomorrow at the end of the day!

The reproduction door bottom panels don't have the stamped triangle on the bottom. mine were a bit rusty in that area so patched in the spot and got the triangle back in. It's all about the detail.

Yep. It's nice. Keeps the strength in the metal and limits the 2 panels touching each other. These are the details the aftermarket misses out on. There is a little area just outside the main curve of the door that isn't their either but I can't get metal guy to rework every aftermarket panel. I can't afford it lol.
