Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

One time I was doing a lot of welding on my 56 Belair body panels. It was hot as hell out side, and all I had on was shorts, and sneakers. When I went back in the house my wife said "what happened"? My face, chest and arms were red from welding. I was doing a lot of spot welds without my helmet on. :uhmk:
I'm glad I had my shorts on, or...... well you all know what I'm going to say. :haha:

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

funny thing about the welding , my father had put a weld on a rack his boss came to talk to him and put his hand right on the weld
it was hot so he pulled of and while nursing his hand sat down on the same weld
.................. imagine he be nekkid...........

It only takes one bad burn to learn your lesson. Or maybe two if you're hard headed.:banghead:

I learned the first time. This was in the 80's, and haven't done it since. I even bought a welding jacket.;)

I'm supposed to be simi retired. But like the money coming in. Not much time to work on my own truck. :waah:

I have 2 more jobs on top of all I have. One is a very original 1970 C-10 that needs some body work that a body shop doesn't want to do. I'll take it. :metal:

oh i drink my H2O straight from the tap

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Dave your garage is bigger than I thought. I wish I went 40x40 instead of 30x40. But that would mean more $hit to clean up.:lol:

I do want to put a car port to work under when I'm doing dusty body work. :waah:

BTW I gave away my horses after 11 years. They were just big pets, and didn't have time to ride them anymore. We donated them to a Riding Academy. :thumbs:

It's my Dads barn. I built it. He parks his motor home in it while there home for 5 months out of the year. Can you ever have a shop thats big enough? :lol::lol: I'm aready thinking about adding some kinda lean to on the side of the thing. Somthing like 20x60. Just a roof for now then close it in later on.:mm: I donated my horses to the Pocatello dump.:lol::lol:

What's a Pocatello dump???

daverod 10-14-2011 10:44 PM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Seriously?:lol::lol: A dump n 1: A place for dumping something (as refuse)
2: To take a Dump.:lol::lol: 3: A landfill. 4: To let fall in mass.(ie Huge dump):lol::lol:

Pocatello was a indian Chief. Pocatello and many of his people felt betrayed and rejected by Mitt Remney. They continued their struggle against Mitt on the reservation. Pocatello withdrew from participation in politicial affairs and lived his remaining years in discontent. In October 1884 the chief died. According to his instructions, his body, along with his clothing, guns, knives, wifes and hunting equipment, were bound together and tossed into a deep spring in southern Idaho. Eighteen horses were also slaughtered and "dumped " into the spring on top of the chief.:sumo::lol::lol:
