Re: My 1965 build thread
Family always comes first. End of story. But if she knows how important your project is to you, she should understand. At least your at home doing it, and not some where else having a beer with the guys. :sumo:

Re: My 1965 build thread
Alan I know what you mean. Me and my wife are always going at it about my truck. Sometimes she wants to work on it, but most of the time she wants to sell it.

I was looking on CL tools the other day and ran across a rotisseri (sp) for $400 a half mile from my work. It was at a restoration shop and the guy was retiring. I wish I had known sooner maybe I could have worked for him to learn more about the restoration side of the business and possibaly bought him out. Anyway the rotisseri is home made and should do the job. If not I can sell it and get my money back. I couldn't have bought the metal for that price. While there he had these dollies for $40 now they are mine. He has a 14X24 cross draft booth and mixing room for $5000/booth and 2500/mixing room. He took great care of his equipment. I just can't afford that kind of stuff yet. Here are the dollies. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...2/DSC00629.jpg |
Re: My 1965 build thread

Re: My 1965 build thread
I have been using them. Scott wants them. I am using 1.7 sharp.. well I cheated a little . the first coat was hot so i used a little less of the activator on the next coat. that worked great. still seamed to kick, I think it was just a really hot day today and it was to much to get out.

Re: My 1965 build thread
What size of a tip do you use Allan? I was thing about buying a cheap gun with a 2.0 tip just for slick sand. When you spray on a guide coat do you use primer or any old paint?:uhmk:

I took this out of a VW it has an orange ring that has a light in it. I'd like to use it as an acc. point in my truck. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...l/DSC00641.jpg The guy I got the wheel skates from called me and told me I could have all of his old color chip books. I think they will come in handy. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...2/DSC00635.jpg |

that's not too bad, as long as you have customers and not a lot of overhead.
