I thought I would show all you guys what my dad just picked up on the weekend. 68 gmc 3/4 ton burb with a 72 front clip and a 72 frame so it already has disk brakes and power steering. Has a 350/350 and runs like a top, made the trip back home no problem. His plan is to get it painted the original colour (olive green) and make it his daily driver/hauler. The previous owner had done some strange things to it. |

Yeah, same here. No snow yet, but temps have really dropped. And that makes for bad painting weather. lol I do have a shop so that helps, but it takes a Long time to get it warm enough in there to paint.

I'm always on the lookout for old parts that I need or want, but today I found a true honey hole. Way in the back of an industrial area in my town is a guy that scraps cars for a living, most of the ones near the front of the property are newer plastic pieces of crap, but way towards the back of the property it starts to get good. This guy has a thing for 60-66 trucks, first thing I saw was this 63 factory k10 shortbox fleetside with next to no rust just sitting up on top of a big steal box.

And here's the best part, I don't have any pictures but there is a 61 Apache cab with tons of options on it and I'm going to take them all out and put them on my truck. And it gets better, there is an old 50's or 60's Ford bus that is filled straight to the roof with hubcaps and most of them are desirable ones in good shape ranging from the 1930's up until the 70's. This stuff is like gold, early corvette caps, beautiful ford artificial spinner caps, original hubcaps for a 61-63 k20, If someone could buy all the contents in that bus for $1000 it would be a good deal. Since it's so snowy and cold right now I am going to come back in the spring for a big load of parts, but I did however get this horn button for a wall hanger. And the best thing of all is that his prices are really good.

Very cool finds! Will he sell any, or is he hoarding?
