I love those pics. When I was a kid nobody knew (at least where I grew up) what a GVWR was or payload capacity or tow ratings. You hooked something to a bumper and if it moved you were good. Maybe you stopped loading a truck when the springs bottomed out. And forget about lights or brakes. The only thing connecting a trailer to a truck was a ball or a pin. And we (and the trucks) mostly survived. Ahhh, the good old days.
