Still, any street driven daily driver truck in the 12's is pretty quick. 99% on the road wouldn't hold a candle against you.

I finally got my RevMax billet 9.5" 3600 (actual stall) installed. Now I need to address.my serious traction issues. Next I'll be ditching the crap Gov-Bomb with a Eaton TrueTrac and prob a set of CalTracs bars.

Re: my 80 build

The next time you go on regular street tires, drive around the water box and just do a little dry hop instead of a burnout. The rubber compound in regular street tires get greasy and oily when they get hot vs drag slicks and DR's compound get stickier (to a point) when they get hot.

Prob will pickup another tenth in your 60ft on regular tires just avoiding the box and doing a dry hop.

Re: my 80 build

a little better at the track 8.07 with a 1.84, tried to run better so took the tailgate off and speaker box, it was much cooler out, then the track wouldn't hold best was a 8.14 with a 1.97 60 foot wheel hopped really bad at least 30 ft

I'm not really for sure, i'm going with some ccp tubular control arms

truckzilla 12-22-2012 06:03 PM

Re: my 80 build

Thanks for the info on the Texas Speed cam.

Are you going to go with some coil overs or what inside those tubular control arms?

My POS is still at a stand still which is why I haven't started a build thread yet! The follies of having to do it at a buddies house only on Sundays for half a day at a time!:waah:

Any 60ft less than 1.8 on a stock suspenson style truck is damn quick outta the hole.

No CalTracs yet, right?

flamingbig10 12-31-2012 12:31 AM

Re: my 80 build

nope, just a bunch of big guys putting weight on my truck when I launched

mooseknuckles 12-31-2012 12:38 AM

Re: my 80 build

keep choppin away at that 60' time and you'll easily be in the 7's.....you're runnin 3:73"s right?.....try some 4:10"s then if traction/hopping becomes an issue, soften up those rear springs....
