Haha- no, I can't. It pains me to look at your avatar :whine: I only have to think about what I used the proceeds for to remind me that it was the right decision to sell--and you can always get more toys...

PMing you on those

Thanks! The CPP and McGaughys kits are good for the money and I'm not sure I saved much by doing them this way, but I can say they are custom

if you dont want a project that 2WD from NY looks pretty good, have you talked to him yet. There is always Phattony's up here, its beautiful and very well done with some very unique touches.

Good luck with the search..

Maaaaan, timing is just so bad for Louise right now. Wish I could get her back from you and put her in storage for a while. Just not in the cards right now...

I am talking to Charlie about that blue 6-cyl. I'll check out phat Tony's, but I think he may be out of my price range.

Just curious. There are trans tailshaft and rear axle pinion type p-brakes that attach to the d-shaft.

I've had that thought, too. Hard to find an affordable pinion option. Who makes those you posted? What's the cost like? I can upgrade to the Eldo calipers for a couple hun.

That unit from TSM is what I have, and am going to run.

Just a word of caution, I'm pretty sure it doesn't meet the DOT requirements for an "emergency brake"....

Really? I thought most shops tested it by putting the vehicle in D, and the e-brake had to at least hold it in place w/o rolling.

You might be right, I really don't know for sure. It just seems like I came across something in my readings about it. I figured I would take my chances.

What's the deal w/deciding against the forward arms?

gringoloco 12-14-2012 10:51 AM

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10

Nothing against the arms- I needed to liquidate for another hobby and they were an easy sale. I will probably do the caster mod at some point. Play time/money is all focused on a Blazer right now. My wife is on board (even suggested it), so I'm striking while the iron is hot :)

Here's what the forward arm money was spent on--it's a BMX style 29er, "The Big Ripper". Saw it and had to have it--I'm an old BMXer from way back who used to ride a PKRipper and this thing makes me feel like a 6'6" kid again :D

I had a Hutch 29 back in the day. I would love to have that bike back. My cousin still has it to this day.
