Personally, I'd save the money for your new Blazer, but that's just me. |

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
I had a Profile BMX from back in the day. When I decided I wanted a dedicated downhill bike I thought I should sell the Profile to help offset the cost. I put it on craigslist for $250 and within a half hour the phone was ringing off the hook. I had a bidding war on craigslist! I sold it the next day for $450 and the guy that bought it told me I could have gotten $1000 on ebay. Oh well, I was happy and I got my new downhill bike. If you've never taken your bike up the chairlift in the summer you are missing out on some big fun.

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
I'll throw in my thumbs-up on the bike too. "Cruiser" class I think they called it back when I raced. I was little then, too small for a bike like that. But I often find myself wishing I had one now...

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Do it! This thing took 20 years off just by pedaling around the block. They have 24 and 26 inch cruisers, too if the 29er is too big. Fits my gargantuan self perfectly

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
More in common than just trucks! Love it. I raced a Panda Pro Am back in the late 70's-early 80's...the beginning. I've got two vintage SE bikes; a Quadangle and a Floval Flyer. My nephew's got my GT Pro Performer. I switched to Mountain (and then added road and track bikes) when even the 24" cruiser class seemed small.

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Sweet. You know they're making the floval and quad again? You can get a 29er quadangle! There's also a sweet limited edition flyer with white mags

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
I know! I'm digging the larger quad, but I'm pi$$ed because the worth, and even interest in the old school ones tumbled after the SE name was bought, revived, and they started pumping out new-old ones! Oh well, it wasn't an investment, just good to be reliving, and affording what was an awesome part of my youth.
Before SE returned, there was a company selling 24" Quadangles on ebay that gained a bit of a cult following. I think they made 26" as well. Can't remember the name. |

Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
< use to be hardcore into flatland bmx freestyle and a few bikes (diamondback viper, 3 hutch trickstars, Haro sport, Haro master, Skyway T/A)
I got to ride and hang out with Scott Freeman, Kevin Jones, Eddie Roman. The Skyway tour use to come to town every year. On another note, I was hoping to see what your C-10 was going to look like with a dropmember.. Cause I'm still thinking of doing the wheels you have. |
Re: How to: Ruin a perfectly good C10
Yes, cheby, it's a Highlander! Super original, unmolested (for now). Driving her back from Denver, so if you see me driving, wave a hand; if you see me stopped, lend a hand
