When you got you harness from speartech did it come with an ECU as well? Just wondering, I have a 5.3 with an engine harness but no ecu.

I really like those custom parts! I need to build you some parts one of these days. You should see my billet OU footballs, really.

Please post pictures! If you've got any ideas let me know. I know you talked about the center caps for the wheels at one....;).

The ECU came with the motor. I could have had John reprogram it, but I'm going to have a local guy do it instead. You get get the computers at a salvage yard or off of Ebay fairly cheap.

I have some ideas for center caps. The only problem is waiting for a slack time in our production schedule. It will take a few days to develop something like that.......ask me how I know. Anyway, here is a pic of the little paper weights I made back in 02.

I'm going to run the Vintage Air Gen IV. I'll start that install after I finish most of the wiring. No rear, just the front. I think with tinted windows and all the insulation that I'm going to put in, it should be fine.

Thanks!

I also have a Vintage air setup in my 70 Suburban. I built a console that runs from the front to the second row seats. I ducted two vents in the second row and one under the second row to cool the third row. (in addition to the vents on each side of the dash, and the one in the front center of the console) It works decent, but I wish it had a bit more output overall. I think creating 6 vent outlets stretches the capability of the kit.

Really? While you are at it, why not draw a mustache on the Mona Lisa?

I'm hoping the Gen IV and a lot of insulation will do the trick.

Yeah, boardmember Shifty. He's done a lot of great work and it shouldn't take to long to finish it, well that is , one I get started.....

, no blower. It's going to be for my son, so we're going to keep it simple.

I was hoping to get a Gen IV system for my sub as well and have a smooth firewall like you, what are your plans for plumbing the unit?

I'll take some pictures when I get to that point. I'm tying up some loose ends right now....

Well it's not much, but its progress. I swapped out the factory 4L60E servo for a Corvette servo. It's supposed to help firm up the shifts and make the transmission last longer. It was a fairly easy and only took about 30 minutes to accomplish. The inside of the tranny looked as clean as the inside of the motor, :metal:. I also bolted on my headers for the last time. I just need to tidy up a few more things and then I'll jump back into my wiring mess....

Not yet, although I have bought a few parts.....:). I did make some progress on the suburban today. I got the wiper transmissions painted and mounted and I got the fuel injection computer mounting location and bracket mocked up. I still need to build the final bracket, but that should be pretty straightforward now.
