Still have a clearance issue behind my top sprocket on the double row timing chain Those dunes out by you look very tempting to climb, all we have are flat beaches |
Re: PO has me PO'd
I just installed a double row timing chain... hopefully it doesn't hit once I fire it up!

Some updated shots of the engine...
Senator350 gave me the idea for the return line on the top heater hose. And LHM was adamant about the use of the PCV system, so with the help from Tynee(thanks for the VC's), I went back to the stock system Also borrowed the adapter(inverted flare to AN-6) from my PS box to mock up fuel line http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace790.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace791.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace792.jpg |
Re: PO has me PO'd
updated update...
Just got my new fittings today, adapter is a 1" male NPT to a -12AN male, hose fitting is a barbed 3/4" 45 degree swivel -12AN female. Hose is a Aeroquip FC300 3/4" Now to work on the 1/2" NPT 5/8" hose http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace793.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace794.jpg |

Haven't heard about the 2 thread rule, but it sounds like a good one.
Let me know when you're heading this way and I'll put the beer on ice. :metal: |
Re: PO has me PO'd

Electric water pump?? Sweet. Apparently I've been too busy sulking about my motor to keep up with yours. Looks good Jim.

Re: PO has me PO'd
Trying to fix the attempt by the PO when he added a 4" lift, brake lines were to short, so he added the 'L' bracket. I'm sure this is adequate, but I am extremely anal...
Bought the front 2 SS brake lines from In-Line tube w/ brackets, minor amount of tweaking and they bolted up. Not sure if my brackets are in the right place http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace803.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace806.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace807.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace808.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace799.jpg |
Re: PO has me PO'd
Finished up all my brake lines(do this with the front end sheet metal off), PITA, otherwise. Couple problems, my local hydraulic hose shop made my front lines, as suggested by the board, I added 8" for a 4" lift. The fitting he used for the brake was a 10mm, so I had to bore it out to 7/16", he didn't have the right fitting. Only about .003" differance, but the bolt wouldn't go in. Two locations on the frame for the hose to go thru, one with the flat, and one without, my fitting didn't have the flat. So I used the upper hole, plus I used a panel nut, beefier than the sheetmetal nut.
Those guys at In-Line tube had all the bends right on. Make sure all fittings are started by hand a good 3-4 turns, nothing is worse than cross threading a new brake line http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace809.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace810.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace811.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace812.jpg |

Don't get alot've time, so I do little stuff so I feel like I've accomplished something:lol: Once I finish the vacuum lines I think I can hang my new sheetmetal(well, new to me) NOS=Nice Old Stuff Gotta hurry up and edit this...Thanks Tim |
