Keith When you did the core support did you weld all the holes up on the top or did you just use filler.

Thanks Kevin

Everything was welded, slicked out, then body-worked.

I cut the whole top off and made a new one....seemed to be easier and faster than welding all the holes up.

This is the only 'active' build thread I currently have....

My RetroRod is in the parts accumulation stages (;) ). I don't have a build thread on my dually because everyone wants pics & I haven't had the luxury of taking pics as I do stuff.

Did you find original material? Or clean and reuse what was on it already?

She's easy on the eye's. But look close Keith has done an excellent job with all the subtle details. I took pictures at GG Kansas. Still finding things I didn't see the first time.

Take some pic's of GG Lonestar for us.

I was looking forward to going to the GG show, but we could not make it this year. I really wanted to see this one in person!

Wow, I feel like such a nerd for saying this, but I could spend all day on their website. Great resource -- thanks for sharing.

Easier said than done. I never thought about taking pics before we entered the show, and once we were inside Hazel and Stella Mae had a crowd around them all weekend. They were bot a big hit, but Hazel was the Prom Queen for sure. She had the guys lining up to three deep for a chance to see her.

Congratulations on two well deserved awards. That makes up for the clear oversight in Kansas.

Yeah,... I don't know what the deal was at Kansas.
People packed around it all day.
I guess the judges couldn't get close enough to see it.
Definitely a hit with everyone.

What were the awards? I must have missed them if they were mentioned.

Classic Trucks Top-5 pick & 'Herculiner Hauler' I believe was the 2nd.

I appreciate the kind words but the simple fact of the matter is that Hazel is a patina old farm truck and 99 percent of the people don't get it and that's exactly the way I intended it to be!

I like the way you just put it out there "patina old farm truck". Just a little modest eh;)
