Glad to see it on the home stretch Rob! Good choice (IMO) on the white headliner.

Thanks! Boardmember Shortie made the emblems. He's making all kinds of custom emblems.

Still tweaking the front sheet metal, but we did get the grill and bumper installed. Lots of work to make it fit and look right, but well worth it in the end. :sexy:

What bulkhead did you use for your a/c lines coming through the firewall? Does vintage air make one for the sure fit kits? I can't seem to find one that matches up with the template that comes with the kit.

Vintage Air doesn't make a bulkhead fitting for the Sure-fit kit. So I made one myself, (it's just a piece of 1/8th aluminum). I also had to change the ends of the hard lines (if you go back a few pages I have pictures of everything). I talked to VA about offering this as an option (I even offered to send them my lines for patterns), but they weren't interested...:crazy:

Your burb is coming along very nicely! In my opinion probably the nicest burb out there.

VA doesn't seem to be interested in anything above and beyond what they are doing. I had a similar interaction with them with an idea I had that would make life easier!

Thank you! I'm humbled that you say that. I'm not sure it's the nicest, I'm doing my best and am very appreciative that people like my vision. Thanks again, :metal:!

That's kinda what I was thinking. I guess their thoughts are, "Why fix it if it's not broke..." and I get it. However, it wouldn't cost much to make it a cleaner looking and an easier install. OBTW, love the attention to detail on yours, keep it up

OBTW, I'm looking for a nice set of the plastic headliner bows and a nice OEM antennae. Please let me know if you have either as the lack of both is slowing down progress.....

We had to pull the hood to put the cowl piece back on. Hopefully tonight the hood will go back on for the last time. This will wrap up the front sheet metal and then I can concentrate on finishing the interior.

Thanks! Just trying to make a little progress every day. We were able to get the hood back on last night. The fits not perfect, but considering the entire front kit is aftermarket, it's not bad, especially for a driver, :sexy:, :metal:!

Thanks! Here's a few shots with the hood on outside. The last picture is one of a truck that saw in a magazine and was kinda the inspiration for my Suburban.

It looks even better in the real picture. I like the wheels you ended up with compared to whats in the rendering.

Is the trim still happening or are you going to just leave the 2 tone paint?

The trim is definitely going on! It's been patiently waiting up in my attic for 8 or 9 years, but it will probably be the last thing I put on.

Currently working on installing the rest of the headliner. I'm adding a 2nd overhead light in the rear to help out on the lighting. Hopefully will have this done this week. I still need 3 nice plastic headliner bows if anyone has some stashed away....:D.
