Good to know. I have a very similar m/c setup and mine leaks too. Hard for me to change since my brakes work so good though.

My brakes were crap so it was an easy decision. Ha ha

I did yellow tint on a truck years ago, it fit the paint really well but driving it looked like someone peed on the world

Funny the dog does not do well in car rides. He gets too nervous. I'm hoping a few rides in the suburban fixes that. It has a lot of flat floor and he can walk around much easier.

Here is a different pic since you were asking for yellow...These are are projection beam with LED lights. I'm hoping this truck has better night visibility than my last.

seeing the yellow headlights against your paint, the yellow side tint might actually be kind of wicked ... but the chicken wire glass would really bring home that rat-rod feel ;)

While I wait for my new Wilwood master to show up today to get my brakes sorted out, I decided to install my side rear windows...Man what a pain. Now I know why most people replace the sliding glass with one flat piece.

I hope my passengers appreciate the air flow...ha ha

2 down with 2 to go...............

Yes the real reward is the passenger can stick their arm out the back window to reach the bottle opener.

Here are a few more pics. I will drive the Suburban today to confirm but it looks like I fixed my brake issues. All of my slide glass is now in. I also installed all interior window trim. Now that the brakes are done I can finish the carpet/jute pad up front.

I pan to drive it to Columbus GG show in July so want to make it as quiet/air tight as possible on the inside. I'm finishing the windlace and additional sound deadener to help.

Funny when I went to the local show with Austin, I prepped him on what people will say. The comments he will hear most often "When are you painting it" and my personal favorite "its too low to drive on these roads". Come on people its 2021!!. There was these things invented called air bags.

Thank you. I'm trying to button up the interior while I wait on my tuner before I put some real miles on it.

LOL. The one I like is "How do you drive it that low" and then someone told me the best response, "I don't I built it right there for you to look at" you know if you want to give a stupid answer.

I have been out driving and debugging. My buddy tuned the Truckster and what a difference that made. I pushed the truck much harder than any other time during this process. It helped identify a few items to fix. Nothing major. Got the AC charged...

I finished 99% of the front interior (carpet and door cards). I will cover the kick panels with ABS for now so I don't have to looks the the sounds deadener.

The goal was always to drive it to the Goodguys show in Columbus. Looks like we will make it. My 16yr old son and I will shove off Thursday.

An oil change, a pinon seal change on the tail shaft of the trans are on the short list of to do's. A quick detail.

Here are some pics...

It is a great show. The after show parties in the hotel parking lots are as fun as the show itself.

Marc, thanks. I feel you on the people trying to buy your projects. I get people wanting to buy one and they throw numbers and a few have been serious. I don't put a number there unless I want something worse. A couple guys called my bluff and I have sold a couple.

that happened to my '55 6400! :banghead:

a buddy was over picking up jeep parts and i took him for a ride, next thing i know he's begging me to buy it. i threw out 2x what i had in it and he started to negotiate ... long story short, he wanted it more than me i guess. he has since done a tone of great work on it and just last week offered to sell it back for what he paid me plus just the cost of the new engine. i was close to taking that.

OK, I figured I owed a post show recap.....Overall the Truckster impressed.

The only issues we ran into were the following:
* No tail lights the first hr on the road. Easy fix. I had accidently blown a 20 amp fuse for the tail lights while changing out the master cylinder. We ate breakfast at a truck stop so finding a fuse was easy.

* I lost my pin and clip that hold in my receiver/license plate holder into the hitch. Luckily my wiring was holding it in or we would have lost the plate.....We noticed this at the only gas stop on the way back which was 2 hrs from the house. A Walmart was .2 from the gas station so that was fixed without issue.

* it rained a lot and I discovered my leaks. No real surprise there.

The current gearing is 3.73. I have an OD trans and with a 30.5 tire diameter I think I could go with 411 gears. Once it gets rolling around 70-80 this thing rips. Its almost too fast for its (my) own safety.

Sooo pleased with the exhaust sound. When bombing down the road you can talk and there is no drown. When you hammer on it there is a nice aggressive rumble.

Here are a few pics.

Ya those are some minor teething issues for sure. It's always great when you get the exhaust tone perfect. Looks like it was a nice show. I think its a prerequisite for these trucks to leak while driving in the rain.

I think so....at least it does not leak fluids of any kind.
