i could be wrong but something does not seem right to me , i installed the 4 bar link brakets where the instructions show , then the cnothc well opening centerline its suppossed to be 25.25 inches from the second bed mount hole , here's some pix , any thoughts, measurements or pix any body can share , thanks

Re: 1971 c10 stepside
I assume you ordered "stepside specific" parts from Porterbuilt?
I bet your notch needs to be moved forward. The rear wheel opening on the stepside bed is farther forward than it is on the fleetside bed. |
Re: 1971 c10 stepside
yes its from porterbuilt !!!!!
|
Re: 1971 c10 stepside
But did you tell Nate you had a stepside bed?
|
Re: 1971 c10 stepside

Re: 1971 c10 stepside
Agreed. Fender opening is forward compared to a fleet. May have to move the notch...

Re: 1971 c10 stepside
We will have the new link bars heading out of here Monday. Looks like we sent the incorrect ones. Just hang on to the incorrect length bars until you have the new ones in hand. We will then arrange on having the old ones sent back. :)
Our apologies for any inconvenience! |

Nate fixed my 4-link bars,... even when I didn't purchase them from him. He wants all his Porterbuilt customers to be happy! |
