mine; be nice, its a work in progress... I just finished hacking the front crossmember from a '79 for the newer suspension, power disc brakes and steering. Does anyone know where I could find a set of 6-lug rotors to fit the '79 spindles? I already have new calipers so all I need is just the rotors; any help would be great. Looking back, I wish I had kept the truck it's original "patina green".

Dig the 4 barrel on the six. That was something I always wanted to try back when I had a six.

I love it!

the dually began as a 66 custom cab half ton with fac air that was in sorry shape. i had a 64 1-ton with a rusty cab and a 87 dually with a tired motor. so, like most of you guys would do, i used the best of what was there. it's got a fresh 350 with holley pro-jection and electronic ignition, the frame and granny 4 speed are from the '64, the front disc-brake cradle and rear suspension are from the later model donor ( cool that you can cut the rivots on a much newer truck and the older frame is already drilled to bolt up the front and rear suspension). the bed came from a 50 model 1-ton. the total build took 13 months and everything was done in our driveway including the paint job.

thanks for your interest scoti, i will try to get some more pictures this weekend and post them.

CPP, ECE, Performance Online, they should have a 6 lug rotor that fits the 79 spindle. Is your current 79 rotor a 1" or 1.25" rotor? I think the 6 lug rotors that they may have are 1.25" and will not bolt on a spindle designed for the 1" rotor.

I bought my brake kit from Performance online. They are set up for the 1.25 spindle. make sure you have the right one. I got mine really within 2 days.

That was put in in `93 $104.00 at the time, thru a friend then cut to fit, seam down the middle. 5/8 inch cdx plywood, need to redo the plywood, I did not seal it. and change the carraiges bolts to stainless.

Not mine but a picture of this work horse should be included. Spotted in a very small Idaho back woods town. Wanted to check out the 4 wheel drive but a big guard dog refused access.

If you look real hard, it looks like the hood ornament trim (not a functional scoop) from a 53 Hudson Jet, maybe Hornet.

By the way, I would like to say Hello! to all you 60-66 guys. I'm new to Chevy trucks but not to the old iron hobby. Here's what I just picked up...

Thanks. This is the Sick Industries '65 build from a few years ago. Check out the build at http://sickindustries.net/
It's got it's issues, but it runs, drives and is registered. The problems are mostly cosmetic sheet metal things.
I'll post more pictures when I get the correct SD card adaptor for my computer.

tim, stop by anytime... we live in the shop and if we're not there, we're probably just out running parts.

Welcome Jeremy, you should post a pic of the truck dropped. That truck really scrapes.
