Dean, Thank you.
 I've heard people say they use them and never hit a deer. But, I've been driving for 55 yrs and never hit one till last year, and didn't use them, so :waah:...Jim

Quick update. Well I actually got back in the shop today for a couple hours. I switched from 600 to 400 grit paper for the wet sanding. Cuts faster and will make a good base for painting.

Had to order some more encapsulator paint, hope it will be in late this week.

Tomorrow I will stop at the auto store and get some bed liner for the back side of fender, here's a couple pics after wet sanding...Jim

WOW nice job!! It doesn't matter how long it takes it just matters that it is getting worked on. You could start renting Mark out and make some side money LOL  Sorry Mark had to say it.

I think Mark has a Plan about being Rented OUT! It could be done but his customers might Not be too Happy about getting put on the Back Burner. For a small shop they do some fantastic Work.

Thanks Ray, I know Mark would love to work with some of the guys on this site, to learn from each other. As you said customers come first...Jim

Another small update today, got to the shop for about 1-1/2 hrs. I put 4 coats of clear bed liner on the back side of inner fender, used the heat gun between coats to speed it up. The stuff I orginally used was heavier and black. I didn't pay attention when I bought this at the auto store. The 4 coats match pretty good with the old stuff. A little primer and it will be ready for paint...Jim

Jim, when I was painting Motorcycle tanks I would cover them with a Electric Blanket so they were warm when I painted them. I did it mainly in the fall and winter, don't know if that would help you.

Quick update.

Pic 1 On Tuesday, Mark painted the backside of fender with encapsulator.

Pic 2-3-4 Today I painted one coat of bed liner on backside of fender, and then Mark sprayed it using the bedliner gun, made it heavy in the areas that a stone might hit, so hopefully no stars...Jim

Back with a small update. On Thursday I had a few minutes so I cut the old lip from around the headlight area so new bucket would fit. I then mounted the fender to the fender horse I built back in 03.

Today I took measurement from the right fender and got new bucket in place, and Mark welded everything. After marking location of the turn signal bucket, he drilled the hole in the fender, and mounted it.

This is a different style that what I had before, so tomorrow I hope to cut out the old light in the passenger fender and open up the hole for the new style.

Here's a couple pics of work...Jim

Looks good Jim. That's one of the down sides of custom mods. if something gets messed up you get to do the mod all over again..

Thanks Kim, We have used these horses for 4 builds, just add a board, or remove to suit.
