No big deal, but I guess this would be right for "Trucks Are Beautiful" where all makes are shown. I'd like to sit and watch the whole thing. Those Brits ran steam power for a long time

Re: GM Semis

Nice '65 Chevy in the 1st picture. Almost has to be a C-80.

The truck in the 2nd picture is a '62 6500 beautifully restored by a member over at the '60-'66 GMC Truck Club. http://6066gmcclub.com/index.php

I believe the truck in the 3rd picture is his as well.

The 4th is of the Red 6500 getting restored.

The pictures seem to just get better. I love the '60-'66 tandems. I like all the old tandems, but those box sixties look so stout!

I don't think these have been shown

Tried to get a picture, didn't turn out. I was heading down the highway yesterday and saw an unusual Brigadier, maybe y'all have seen one like it. It was an extremely short wheelbase, the single rear axle was practically right behind the cab. I thought it was an aircraft tug til I got right up on it. It was pulling a massive camper. Anyone ever seen one with an extremely short wheelbase? What would the application have been?

Wild! I had no idea. Looked like a rough riding truck, that's for sure. Not sure that something thayvshort would be my choice to pull a camper, but, hey, different strokes for different folks.

Not just good, EXCELLENT! The photos in post 1689 ( '62-'66 heavies ) are exactly my cup of tea. Love to see more of the restoration process of that red GMC V6 tandem dump. Thanks again for all your great contributions.

Thanks too modern social media makes it easy.
And love truck pics, kept me interested in trucks after my pop passed away in 2007 and until 2009 or so I wanted out of them til I realized I wasn't the only one.

Realizing you're not the only one is the doorway to becoming a total fanatic! That has happened to me with a few things. After all the "What do you see in that?" reactions it makes you wonder if people think it's strange. Then you find out about clubs, shows, and now websites, etc and you realize there are a whole lot of strange people out there!

I remember everybody thinking I was crazy for buying an old pickup truck cab for $500. I mean car guys and all. Rust free original paint '72 from El Cajon, CA. I knew exactly what I was doing. I'd tell people "This guy stripped a truck in the bone dry desert, brought it clear across the country, and set it down in PA not much more than an hour from my house for me to walk up and buy"

I'd like to pick up something like this:

Re: GM Semis

That tow truck is an interesting example of an early Chevy.

Either a '66 or '67 Model.

Also note that it is either a Chevy 80 or 90, with a Butterfly Hood yet.
