Stay away from the sheep, that's old school, foam and 3M materials. Start light, you can always get more aggressive if needed. I'd start with 2500 and 3M perfect it 2. If that does not cut it, try 2000, maybe perfect it 1. The compound and the pads are a set, don't mix them up.

Thanks for the offer Vince but I think this is something I need to screw up all on my own. I need to learn how to do it and I'm not much fun when I'm learning.

I'm gonna' blame any mistakes on you anyway. LOL!

I'm gonna' use the 3M perfect it stuff. Foam pads for sure. What's the difference between perfect it 1 and perfect it 2?

My wife bought me a variable speed buffer for my birthday (isn't she great!), so I have that covered. I have all the sand paper I should need (1500 - 2000). I will order the compound and buffing pads (white, black and blue) so I guess I'm ready to go this weekend.

Well seeing that you have all the proper equipment, then I guess it might be safe for me to help,....hand you a beer as I watch. :lol:

J/K, let me know if I can help.

I'll have some C/10 Club openers with me too.

Hey Guys,

I still have these inner fenders, and a lot of other parts laying around now in my shop. I'm trying to clean everything out so I can make room for the build. If anyone in the area is interested I'll let these and most everything else go pretty cheap. PM for details if interested.

On another note, do you guys want to have a monthly breakfast or lunch get together? This is for all trucks, not just C-10's.

Just asking.

Welcome to the SoCal board. Nothing that formal, their are a few individuals that will plan a meet and invite anyone that wants to attend. If you have a favorite breakfast or lunch spot plan a meet a few weeks out and let everyone know. Those that can will.

You guys can drive your trucks, cars buses, etc. LOL
Its more of us getting together. I know everyones truck is not going to always be able to make it. As long as your there, its all good.

Now to think about a location.

Re: DMV ' Fun ' ~

Well ;

You alls know I've been in The Auto Trade a long time (decades) so I have learned a thing or three ~

This particular Motocycle came to me with not only keys but original title , registration papers and the old blue & yellow license tag I want to keep so I broke out my <magic> phrase Ca. Reg. 256 form and have been patiently trotting my self and the Moto around hither , thither and yon , in the end I expect to get title & tags in my name shortly and retain the blue & yellow license tag , this is just another one of those foolish things I do to hold onto a rapidly vanishing past..... :waah: .

:chevy: .

Re : SoCal DMV Service

FWIW ;

The one in Lincoln Heights is terrific as they expect no one to have any correct paper works and so make a point of being very helpful , the lines are to the curb always but well worth the wait IMO .

The Auto Club will always be your best bet but , they're not always able to do quite what you want .
