Re: Daverods 52
dave, your alive. If you got time there are plenty of thrifty wiper conversions. Since I'm always pressed for time I coughed up 200 bucks for the usa made newport wiper. Its ok to say the least. Heat, since my heater core and ranco valve both leaked, I took the other easy route out and dropped another 200 or so on an aftermarket kit, its not too bad either, came with everything you need. But you could prolly find a whole complete AC/Heat unit for 700 or so.

LOL, yeah to be honest, under the dash is sooo cluttered as it is especially if you run the stock vent which is cool. I couldn't imagine a booster under there.

Re: Daverods 52
hey dave, curious as to how high your frame is off ground laid out? Then how far off frame did you cab end up being? I'm pretty close to having mine done, prolly have to notch my rear a little bit. I'm running 26" tall tire with drop spindles

Re: Daverods 52
dave, I wanna see some truck driving footage cmon!!!
here is my new build. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...97#post6407697 I'm about 4" frame off ground without engine/trans in there. that puts the fenders on the ground with the cab being 3" off frame. So its pretty close to where its gonna go. 2" drops spindles, rear frame lays on axle, no tub in bed and a decent bed depth as of right now. |
Re: Daverods 52
I think it frozen to the ground. I just put some lights on it. Roads are almost clear though. I was thinking about a bike ride.

Re: Daverods 52
Washed it off good and parked it for awhile. Rooster was probably just talking about all the time he spent riding it and not the $$. I still need to finish my 66 before I start anything. Got pretty boring today. Maybe start the 66 soon.!!!

Re: Daverods 52
pretty boring over here, everything being ignored for that 2 wheel thing?

Re: Daverods 52
 funny man. Well it snowed here so I can't ride my bike anymore.:waah: Pulled the 52 in the garage. Welded on some more metal to grind off. The front hits on the bottom of fenders. The back hits right where the arms bolt on to the frame. Not a good place to start grinding away metal. I welded a good size chunk just forward of that. Should solve the problem for awhile. No driveline vibration when the front is higher than rear. Maybe I'll raise the trans up about a 1/2" to see what that does.:smoke:
