Okay I am just curious here, did GM actually made these 'Burbs in the Cheyenne models?

Not that it matters, you can badge them anyway you want.

Rob,
What is the name or the color code of the red paint on the burb?
Looks just like the red I want for painting my 71 SWB.

Really cool build. I only had time to look at the first four pages, then skip to the end. I hope to have time soon to look at all of the pages in between!

Thanks for looking!

On the other hand, I'm glad it isn't on the road yet, it's really going to ruin the chances of all of us other Burb owners when it comes to the "Suburban" Truck of the Month category. They may as well go ahead and give him the award for next year (if he's done) :) Definitely a show stopper

It's a factory color, bright red I think is the name. I've got the paint code posted somewhere in the thread. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll ask my painter.

Well I've finally made some progress that is worthy of pictures. When I decided to swap the middle bench out for a set of buddy buckets, I didn't realize how much hassle it was going to be to mount them. And of course, I had to make it more complicated by making the mounts look cool. I still have to weld everything up solid and add another brace front to back. Anyway, here's what I came up with.Let me know what you think.

That's cool! Floating seats ;)

Are you leaving them open underneath completely or will you use it for a storage area?

The seat mounts look really cool. Did you have to do any beefing up behind the mount holes? More info....pics:)

They are super strong! The top and bottom both connect to the main body cross structure. I'll take more pictures when I mount them permanently!

All I have is the instructions that came with the fans. Did you not get any? The gauges were wired by boardmember Putter, but they correspond to the directions in the Painless wiring book.

Sorry Geoff! I thought I was about to start making some progress and then things kept coming up. So I told myself that I wasn't going to post again until I had some pictures worth posting, so here you go.

Yes. Mar-K now has the Cheyenne upper pieces to fit suburbans.

I bought it used (low miles). I paid $3500 for the complete setup. Look around some of the LS forums, I'm sure you can find some deals.

Thanks 69CST, I've got my eye on your project too. I finally have both seat brackets welded up. Just need to sand blast and paint them. Now I can send my seats off to be re-upholstered, :metal:. This "little" shed project is going to start consuming some of my time, but when it's done I'll have more room to play,.

Here's some pics:

Ron, are you in the same house? How big of a "little" shed is that going to be? The burb is looking great, shouldn't be long and you will be able to take the whole family out in it

Same house. 24' x 28'. I'm nibbling away at it. The "shed" will allow me to get stuff out of the way so I have room to work.
