Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Neat rig. That is a heavy hauling trailer with, the spread axles, for a single rear. But I bet she took it on down the road

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Roberts Transportation, here in Harrison, used to run those old "Binders" all the way to the west coast. Not on a regular basis, but they did it.
The third generation is still in the old location, and has a couple of the old trucks restored. |

I feel so bad for this Diamond T, its like it was a living thing and deserves better than this. Guess I'll try to get more info on it, its 500 miles away.

Cool stuff. That Diamond T looks molested and abused. Clean little fuel truck. Ever see a Super T conversion? Heavy duty baby :metal:

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
I've never heard of a super T and that's a cool radiator.

Like seeing the different lives these trucks have had.
And the pull trailer from this Cano truck is behind the Scaffer truck now. |

I go by this Acar couple times a year, hasn't turned a wheel in 25 to 30 years. If I couldn't have the truck I'd like to have the trailer to restore back to Coors lettering. I remember when I was a little kid there would be 6 or 8 of these trailers being pulled with narrow nose petes go past our house every day headed for LA, a never ending stream of them day and night. I would stand there starring at them until they were out of site.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
That thing is all set up. Have you ever looked into what they want for it? That sure is a fine trailer with it.
I need to get a picture of the Autocar sleeper cab wrecker at the local junkyard/towing shop. They ran it for years. I've heard it's got a good bit of rust. But hey, that's restoration! The owner died in the past year or more and now his wife has gone with him. The son is lazy and never much good...if I were to pass judgement . I have been wondering what will happen to this icon...truck as well as the junk yard amd tow company I have always relied on |
