I'm going post as many photos as I can. Here are the past from the mid 1980's of my collection. Only now I own the 53 chevy pickup.

The COE in the quoted post isn't a "47-59" at least I'm pretty sure it isn't. There WERE 47.1's that were Art Deco trucks before they switched to the Advanced Design in '47.2. But I don't know when the COE's switched over.

But since it has already been posted here I'll throw in a COE that I just love. Especially the color. If I'd have kept my '46 I'd have definitely done it in the same color. Sure wish I knew what the color name is and if it was a stock Art Deco truck color from the factory? Enjoy!

57 Chevy Pick Up saying hi from England

4 Attachment(s)
Hi my name is Peter and i live in Colchester, Essex, England UK..
Been a petrol head from birth..

Heres my freshly imported 57 Chevy finally arrived from Illinois. Would be nice to find some history on the truck..

I purchased from a forum member and the truck arrived end December 13.
John (MrRottnDog) had it for 2 years from 2011, but would be nice to find some history before then..

I did some short research and a guy named Bill Ray Stinnett, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762-4201 owned it for a while..

Would love to find some build history which was mainly done 1998-99 if anyone recognizes this pick up..
Will put some specs up when i get a minute

all the best Pete

It looks like you got a very clean, well-built truck. That's a beauty!

Iceburg-

Nice fleet and past builds. Thanks for sharing. I like your Suburban. It looks very solid. Have you had it long? I'm starting on a 53 Chevy Suburban.

Thanks
Marc

about 2 months....got it torn apart now and starting the rebuild. I am watching your thread for tips.
Mine is not bad...needs a little floor work , rear door work on the drivers side ( barn doors) and need a rear fender if I can find one.
I have a LS3 rebuilt I am going with.
I will get a thread started maybe over the weekend.

Good deal. I will look for your thread.

Yes, I need a few parts. I need a passenger side barn door check arm. I also need (1) more SS window pull. I do have all three rows of seats which was a score. I have rear fenders but one needs a little work. I'm cutting my metal floor pieces today. I will run them over to a budy that has a break so that I can break the metal and I will roll some beads in as well.

Marc

Just wondering if you would know what brand the hard cover or lid is on the blue 55 truck? This is the first I have seen that looks that good...Tim
