Thanks guys! I got the inner cooler mounted last night. I just need to finish up the plumbing on it and that part will be done. I plan on painting it black so you won't be able to see it behind the grill.

My Speartech wiring harness should be here today. A big thanks to John! He has been great in helping me customize it for the supercharger and adapting this part that I ordered this last week from TwistMachine:

The paddles are built by a small family run company. I did a lot of research on this product and all I could find is a bunch of great reviews! Thanks Steve.

I also need to give a shoutout to Garrett at Magncharger! He has been very instrumental in answering questions and providing parts to help my get the TVS 1900 installed properly. He was gracious enough to give me his personal cell phone and has answered numerous texts at night and during the weekends, thanks again Garrett!

Progress is being made and I've been lucky to have a lot of good companys and car guys help me out on this venture. I definitely would not be as far I am, if it wer not for their help. Soooooo...I'm not sure I'm going to make my Crusing the Coast deadline, but it won't be from lack of effort....

Spent the past few days reading this entire thread. Just started my search for a '67-68 swb and wanting to do something very similar. Unfortunately I doubt I will have the same budget but I love everything you have decided to do. Can't wait to see the results of the new combo.

As with quite anew others, I'm taking a lot of notes.

Re: 68 S/C update.....

Are you having to use a shorter column for that to fit or does that unit take place of the column adapter?

Hart_Rod 09-25-2013 06:29 PM

Re: 68 S/C update.....

It replaces the column adapter.

Here's a picture of my steering wheel adapter. Just swap it out and my steering wheel bolts to the paddle wheel hub.

That looks like a nice piece...
Are you putting it on a stock type column or do you have an after market?
I was wondering if the paddles might conflict with turn signal lever?

It's a stock column. I may have to "tweak" it a little.

Re: 68 S/C update.....

I apologize for the minimal updates, but it seems like the less time I spend on here, the more I get done, ;).

I finally got enough wiring done on my install so I could at least test the Dakota Digital VHX gauges. After a few trial and errors (mostly errors,), I got everything working!!!! Using the VHX gauges and along with the OBDII BIM-01-1 interface, I'm able to pull just about everything the CAN BUS monitors AND display it on my gauge interface, everything from the check engine light, speed, tach, water temp, oil press, tranny temp, IAT, OAT (I'm not sure how that's working???), and I even got it to display the gear indication:metal::metal::metal:!!!! I'm extremely happy right now and I can't wait to fire this bad boy up, :metal:. I also figured out a way to wire up the BIM so you don't have to jam up your OBDII port. Let me know if you want the info. Sorry for my exuberance, but it was a banner day on moving my build forward.

I received the drive shaft (beautiful piece!), and if it weren't for having to update my pinion yoke to accept a 1350 u-joint, I would have gotten it installed (should be here Monday). Sorry no pics, maybe tomorrow, just wanted to share my excitement.
