I doubt that will happen now with the housing market being what it is today. It wasn't like that when I was selling.

We had a buyer that quibbled over a sewer issue, agreed to a certain fix paid for by us, and then backed out after we had spent several thousand dollars to have the job done.

But then a few weeks later we sold it for almost $30K more than his offer. :metal:

He was another realtor making a cash offer and I think he was just playing around trying to tie up houses.

Finally sold my car trailer...didnt need it anymore and it was taking up space....

Brought my landscape trailer for some much needed repairs....fixed some side panel damage, couple blown light bulbs, greased the wheel bearings and replaced the front lift wheel mechanism.....

Am going to reposition the spare tire bracket to the center of the front rain inside the A frame to give me more turn clearance....

Lick of paint and it is as good as new....

Contemplating putting a small winch on the trailer soon...I seem to be getting lots of enquiries regarding broken ride on lawn tractors and zero turns and am too old now to push them up the ramp....

It's a real concern. Especially given the fact that when a house returns on market after it's been under contract, regardless of the reason, it is often much harder to sell.

These cancelled sale scenarios happen around here an awful lot, so much in fact that we were ready to not accept bids/offers from the type of buyers that seem to be doing most of the backing out. The sense is that these buyers are going into multiple contracts without regard for the damage they are doing to the sellers. We were fully prepared to deal with this but, alas, we didn't have to deploy our anti-get-F***** countermeasures! LOL. The big offer scared me off for a number of reasons, chief among them were this issue of getting tossed like bait-fish back into the sea just before closing.

We ended up with 7 offers, only one of which was at asking price. The largest was 50k over asking next 35k over and the rest were 30k, 30k, 20k and 17k over. The big offer was also all cash but from an unknown agent and our agent had zero contact with him other than a few texts about how high the offer needed to be and then his client's offer. We simply negotiated up on one of the lower offers because we liked the family ( this family was one of two that wrote us a "love" letter and included pics of themselves ), they had been in constant contact with our agent throughout the entire period and they had proof of a lot of funds going into their down payment of nearly 50%. These buyers seem to be solid.

Only time will tell now.

I don’t have a truck for these so I guess it counts . Polished up my treasures as my wife says every time I find something at a swap meet.

Oh...he did. Buyer fished him on Thursday then came back Saturday and took it home. It is a small block automatic car, don't think it had the original 283 or 327.

My “TOT-ROD” stroller project fell by the wayside last summer so I jumped back on it today and blended in the round rod surrounding the “stacks”. The hood area got painted satin black to enhance the gasser vibe and save as much of the original patina as possible. I’m going to cover the interior with roll on bed liner and unbolt the chassis for a coat of fire engine red. It looks like there’s going to be some shows this year so I have to get it ready for the grandkids...

That's what we were worried about. When we got the new offer we specifically told them what was "wrong" and what had been done about it, and that if they weren't okay with it "as is" just go look elsewhere right now. We put that right in the contract. They didn't even make us re-do the front lawn. Nevertheless I heaved a big sigh of relief when we finally closed and the settlement wire transfer came through.

Our realtor was a high school classmate and daughter of a close friend of my mom's. She helped us tremendously to get a good price. I was ready to just sell it cheap to some house flipper.

Serviced my two tankless water heaters. Cleanded burners, blew out heat exchanger, cleaned inlet water filter.

Put the wood frames on the bathroom mirrors the wife had been wanting me to get done and also fixed the exhaust fan in the master bath water closet.

Walked over to the neighbors pond and caught a few fish.

Got my "Hog" ready

Replaced the rear inner tube and got the mount for the trailer set up. And of course, had to wash the wide whites.

Ready to take little man out on some trails.

Thanks, I really like this bike. It was a reproduction Schwinn beach cruiser you could buy at walmart like 10 years ago, plus it's my favorite color combo on just about anything. It's a nice riding bike.

Little guy is big enough now to sit up and go for rides. He really likes car and stroller rides, so fingers crossed. We're going on a test run this weekend.

I brought my old Schwinn "Corvette" home before we sold my mom's house. I dunno what I'm going to do with it as the roads out here are too rough to ride, not to mention my legs can't handle climbing hills with a one speed coaster :(

Is there a screen that prevents debri from being picked up by the tire and tossed back onto that carrier in the infants face?

Yes! You can kinda see it thrown over the top. In addition to the screen, there's also a clear cover too that you can roll down that snaps in place. This was the highest rated carrier I found.

I wonder how many times I'll forget he's back there and run through a mud hole

Looking at it again... it really needs some old school wire spoke wheels.

I used to have a Burley Trailercycle, which was for once your child gets bigger. It's his own bicycle without a front wheel that hooks to your seat post. It makes your bike a bicycle built for 1 1/2 . I'm sure other companies make them now. They are cool because you can go on rides that would be too much for the child on their own little bike

That would have been good when the twins were little, only we would have needed one for each behind mom and dad :)

I went to Catalina Island with my first wife and rented a bicycle built for two. I thought it would be romantic to cruise the island.

All she did was run her mouth and complain that I was either going too fast or too slow. :blah:

I felt like jumping off the thing and watching her crash. :haha:

So much for romance. :smoke:

Had to make the same ride I did last week when I lost the hubcap for the 85. Found it about a mile from my destination about 30 miles from my house in a ditch ,couple of scratches tho . But it’s better than the beat up one I put on the truck .

You should have gone to Ireland instead. Maybe you would have ended up in a cemetery kissing in a thunderstorm
