Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Now I like that lightbar... I like how it just mounts with the bumper's bolts, super simple and its not so large and out there as the normal grille guards... Great IDEA!

Hey guys and gals,
I was wondering if I could ask for some ...... numbers i guess, 1. Does any one have a guess on the hp/tq rating of my 1988 454 TBI it well over 100k miles but been treated to mobil one all its life im the third owner. 2. It has a turbo 400 now but in swaping to a 700r4 4x4 cause i have converted it to 4x4... now do you guys have any suggestions on the gear set for good MPG I know 454's are not known for MPG.. but good all around gears??? It has 4:56 now and man i can pull a house down and the Gas station with it !!!! 3. With a 700R4 can i keep the 4:56 gears and still be good to go for a 8hr raod trip i take often ? Thanks for you help this forum rocks and so do you peeeps. I have included pics so im not sucking up space for the mighty square tanks |

Hey thanks. Ya, there are two windows on top. Here is a shot of the top front and the side showing what it looks like over the rear window. Still some masking tape stuck on the top of the windshield.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
ugh, your gonna make me go outside again for another picture I knew it... tell ya what, I'll take a few more, get the better ones and then post. It's pretty big inside as you could imagine. I replaced the carpet and front seats (back seat will work for now). Resurfaced the dash (what a job that was) and painted the frame. I still need to replace the carrier bearing on the drive shaft and figure something out for the exhaust (something scary). Just painted it two weeks ago, did the best I could (looks great at dusk or from 8 feet away and/or not in bright sunlight). Got it back in July. I still need some tires for the back, the'll get buy for a little while though. And thanks, it's not a show truck but I like it.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
ah shucks, thanks. now I feel better. Ya, it's a custom. Not mine but a few companies made em back in the 80's. Called an Overland Coach. There are still a few around but they are hard to find in good shape. I found this one in TN. Very little almost not rust. Surface rust on the springs and stuff but nothing else really. I had three quad cabs I was interested in and I thought this one being so unusual would be cool to make nice.
