In answer to the question about the shocks... Yes you can run them 90 or straight up just usually that will limit the amont of travel you have and they may bottom out.. running them at an angle looks better, gives you more travel, and reduces the harshness of the shock making them last longer... in case you wanted to know.. that is what the Monroe man told me at the dealership a long time ago when I was looking for shocks for mine..

It's a power trip they get and then impose their personal morals and ethics on others.... yup! just a good old fashion abuse of "power".

Nah not a power trip, if you wanna see one though I would be happy to oblige. We never filter as that ruins a community and doesn't allow the information to be spread. Removing provocative pictures is a community wide decision that was made many years ago to keep the forum readable with kids around. It's been a long standing policy to keep the sites family friendly due to many guys on here reading the site with their kids to get them into the hobby. Not to mention there are many children who actively read and post here. If you have an issue with policy please take it t PM and I would be happy to discuss the reasons as soon as you return from your vacation.

This thread will remain locked until I can be given a reason to re open it. I cannot believe the lack of respect for the site and its staff displayed here. We are all part of the same community. Not everyone is gonna like the rules but they are here to keep everything going smoothly. There are policies and reasons or things being the way they are to keep this place as cool as it is. sorry if you guys feel they are out of line, they ahve however been in place longer than you guys have been here.

No new pictures to post. Sorry. :mm:
Been busy doin this 390 F*RD motor to put in a 73 F-250. When my hand gets better I'll have to get into some heavy duty and dirty work.

BEFORE

AFTER

http://belair.smugmug.com/Cars/AUGIE...020306-L-L.jpg

That intake manifold was so heavy I had to use the lift to lower in onto the engine not to damage the gaskets. When I was younger it was tough also. I had to climb in the engine compartment and straddle the engine to lower it. Man they are heavy,

BTW I did this before my operation.

Thanks the hand is doing OK. It got a little swollen and hurts now. I was doing too much with it, so now I'm just chill'en, and doing nothing until it heals. I can't wait.

Seen that video before Dave. That guy is NUTZ. :uhmk::uhmk::uhmk:

You make good use of those shopping karts. Did'nt you make a engine stand out of one? Engine looks better than new.

Yes I want to put some small wheels on the basket. Here's the one I made into a engine and transmission stand. It works perfect. :metal:

Hey Dennis, since I haven't been paying much attention, what was the surgery for?

Strodder 03-18-2012 02:43 PM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Carpal Tunnel Release surgery. ;)

watahyahknow 03-19-2012 06:04 AM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

they wanted to do that to me too , luckily it healed out of its own , basicly they open up the tube in youre wrist where the tendon runs through so the bump in the tendon causing the carpal tunnel doesnt get stuck anymore
they sumtimes call it triggerfinger too as it clicks when the lump is passing through the tube

Strodder 03-19-2012 10:50 AM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

I have trigger finger also but only on my left hand. I think that's caused by arthritis. I don't have any Carpal Tunnel symptoms in that hand since the surgery on my right hand. Go figure, the doctor can't explain it either.

watahyahknow 03-19-2012 11:32 AM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

it might be because you couldnt do a lot after the surgery and like on my hand the lump healed back to normal basicly carpal tunnel starts as an irritation of the tendon wish swells and gets stuck that causes it to irritate even more , giving it a rest makes it go away most of the time

Strodder 03-19-2012 11:37 AM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

It was immediately though. Next day no tingling, burning or numbness in both hands. I'm not complaining. Don't want to go through it again on my left, but if was still bothering me I would.

Unless you're left handed?? Then it's holding the camera w/your right hand that's a beach. No wait, that's a pen.....

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

I'm right handed, and the shutter button is on the right side. That's what makes it hard to use with your left hand. :uhmk::uhmk::lol:
