As long as the electric trailer brakes work it's okay.

I saw a load about like that going through the county seat this morning. I think it was a newer pickup though. It looked like they must have been cleaning up a ranch. There was stuff like a bunch of rusted culvert.

Lots of the American West is still pretty laid back about interesting loads ;)


But a few years ago I did hear about MHP stopping a Suburban pulling a 14x70 MH on I-90 :lol: It was only notable because the trooper walked off in the ditch to get a picture and got bit by a rattlesnake!

Was headed for Ennis Montana a few years ago on I-84 between Twin Falls and Idaho Falls pulling a 30' 5th Wheel, the posted speed limit was 80mph, I was doing 70 and a extra long single trailer fuel delivery truck blew by me at way over 80mph.

Yes sir, I’ve done lots of things out here I never would have attempted in Virginia. A lot has to do with traffic on the roads I believe. There is just not near as much traffic out here.

Back when we first moved up here almost 25 yrs ago, my mom had a fit about the narrow two lane roads and the truck drivers. She couldn't understand that the practice was to stay well on the road until you almost meet somebody, and then swing out to clear and then right back onto the road, because just riding the edge you were much more likely to fall off into the usually deep ditch. With two big rigs, or a fifth wheel camper like they had, it was like playing chicken and then both drivers pull over just enough at the last second :lol:

There was no numerical daylight speed limit back then, either. I always said the speed limit was "how fast do you want to be going when you go around a curve and meet a combine taking up both lanes ???" ;)

Was over at a friends place today and he’s putting the finishing touches on this 56. He’s just doing body and paint, from here it goes to another shop. It was a pretty rusted up hulk when he started. Took it off the frame and stuck it on his rotisserie. Should be pretty cool when it’s all done.

I'll see if I can scan in the picture my wife took of my two older boys, standing in front of our '56 Chevy 210 four-door wagon. She picked the color out of the chip color book, but it's so close to your friend's color that we might have painted these cars out of the same can. I used #11 white for the non-blue parts.

Im not sure what the colors are called, I know they are all factory. The interesting thing (to me anyway) is the dash is painted a darker blue. I asked my buddy why the owner requested it that way and he told me it was the stock color combo.

bad day for someone,a building full of cars,trucks and tractors burned last night about 30 minutes from me in Amherst,Nova Scotia.i had several calls this morning to make sure it wasn't mine.thankfully no but someone is in a world of hurt.

Happened to a friend of mine about 5 years ago, burnt his whole barn down and everything in it, they nailed it down to a battery trickle charger on a ATV.

Not sure how they do that other than maybe a tripped breaker but that could have tripped during the fire too.

This is why all my cars the battery gets disconnected and the power off to the barn . I also dont grind or weld indoors either just too much can go wrong .

We got called to a wild fire some years ago, that was started by an old snowmobile sitting outside. Supposedly mice built a nest on the battery and shorted it out, providing lots of kindling.

The upper section of a back-bar wall that I have been working on in an "off and on" situation. It is not complete yet. It gets doors with a wire mesh on the end units, a top plate with crown, and puck lights on each shelf.
There are lower cabinets and an actual bar to go in front, but no pics yet.

On the right we have our cat. Our plump, lazy cat.

On the left, we have a baby gopher. Lord knows why it crawled out of its hole.

And yes, they are just hanging out like nothing is out of the ordinary.
