Funny how all the way over here I would have no idea of them. That sounds like a solid company, I'd say.
I found more of my friend's C-series Ford "Hangman" in pictures of his place. We just finished putting a new roof on his shop and time for the ventilator |

^^^His wife is probably like, "He'll find any excuse to play with his toys....;I told him that roof needed to be done in 2007."

Using The Hangman on a honey-do job. Chuck had plans to build a half-pipe for his son out of this cut-up fiberglass tank. Never happened and now Kate needed some shelter for her firewood she keeps in this old outbuilding foundation

We did both sides. I want them to do a real post and beam frame on the high side so we can do a roof across the middle. Have it all dry in there with room to split if need be.

The Hangman gives me the willies just a tad. I won't go into the details of the story and clutter up this thread, but lets just say that not remembering to latch the cab down can make for a very thrilling ride in the hills.
Back when I was searching for a dump truck I found this '64 Pete with a Cummins big cam transplant for sale. Out of immediate necessity (2 days to job start) I ended up buying a Western Star locally, but man...I really wanted to head to Montana and check this baby out. |
Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
So fine. Reality sucks! Western Stars aren't a bad thing though.

This was the Old 40 chapter of the ATCA annual show that was snowed out in April. It got added on to a bigger event at the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum at the Ag Center. Both days they had the truck show that's normally only one day. There were demonstrations going on with old farming techniques including a group potato dig. They get the kids out and dirty. They have a saw mill run off a belt as well as a stone crusher. Hand made demonstrations of all sorts including cooking. They had good food to eat and there was also a decent size cruise-in going on under a couple big pavilions in the shade. I really neat event overall

Skipped over this one. My favorite at the truck show. This and a few others shown are antique tractor haulers. It's not a big show, new chapter/new show. Not sure if they'll keep it this weekend or keep it in April. But it's the first week which can be too early weather wise.
Attachment 1816943 Ok, tractors are beautiful, too. Never seen this conversion before: |

Yeah, it's a young show, new chapter, and in the more rural part of the state. Also the show is normally in April. But not a bad turnout. And also also, this was Sunday and it was a Sat/Sun local show. So no overnighters for the weekend like bigger shows. I didn't see anyone from my local ATHS chapter and we all got e-mails on it and we all mix up with ATCA. Many are members of both, such as me. Coming up is our Tri-State show where there will be at least 300 entries. Four ATHS chapters are involved from Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. It should be a four state show since WVA line is only a few miles from the show, but I guess they are in the VA chapter (Shenandoah)
