Awesome! A contact near my neck of the woods! Do you have a yard or is it a business?

I am just a hobbyist...that is obsessive compulsive for 67-72's. Do have a pretty good selection of trucks, suburbans, etc..

Awesome! I'm new to working on cars/trucks in general but I'm glad to meet the folks on this board. I really want to make it to the meet on Sunday but if my wife has to work, I may not be able to go. I don't feel super safe bringing my 16 month old in a car seat in a '78 Chevy. Not until I get the seat belt replaced. As it is, I"m having a hard time getting the top shoulder D-ring bolt out of the cab!

Re: SoCal checkin' in

yeah man, do not risk it for you or your young'n...i will not be making it in my suburban as it still needs a windshield installed, exhaust and a few other odds and ends..

Thanks VDOG, I was just excited about driving down there. Now it seems like its going to rain on sunday. Ha ha. I'm really excited to meet some fellow truck lovers. I wish my friends were more into fixing stuff.

Vince!! I have a great idea! Get the rain to agree to come with you. Then we will have all afternoon to stand around, drink sodas and tell lies and stuff without worrying about getting our trucks water spotted (at least until 2:30 because the gig starts at noon).

You know we love you Vince.

Re: SoCal checkin' in

Well ;

My '69 is all rusty now so some more rain isn't going to hurt it any .

I got the new windshield in this morning , it's great and I now have an exra brandy new windshield grommet to bring along and give away to anyone who's thinking of new glass .

Sadly , there are HUGE rust holes in the pinchweldment , one more nail in the coffin of this dead cab .

<---Yep, I'm Aurelio. It was really cool meeting you guys. I just wish I was able to drive my '78 down. Thanks for answering all my questions guys. I'm pretty sure by the next meet, my truck will be all set with new brake lines and that pesky leak figured out. So at least it will be a bit more road worthy. Might even be night road worthy once I get my side marker light bulbs replaced along with the console lights. Right now I'm in the middle of putting the chain guard on for the tailgate latch/chain thing. I like the rustic look it has but hate the clanking around it does.

Notice how I stayed away from the camera or I would be saying: "Lawd, my belly looks huge". Then we all know what Andy would be saying.

Hey guys, I'm going to attempt to replace the fuel hose that runs from the steel line to the pump, in my truck. It appears to be leaking right where the hose clamp is. In case things go south, would anybody be around on the boards or in the riverside area to lend a hand? I've never done this before and am hoping its not too difficult. Or do you guys suggest taking it to a shop? This operation will occur tomorrow or Sunday.

Re: SoCal checkin' in

Take offs for sale. '63-'87 drop spindles and 6-lug disc brakes. These were on a '72 C10. they are 73-87 type. I also have the outer tie rods and adapter sleave for 63-72 trucks. For 63-70 trucks, the ball joints would need to be changed. Good condition, mild rust. $200.00. - don't P.M. or E-mail. no, no cheaper. just come and get them. No Limit 455 s. D street #4, San Bernardino 92401. 909-386-7637 :)

This is an easy maintenance item to do. If you run into problems I will help you out. The trick it to have a tool to cut off the flow of gas or change it out real quick. Even a vise grip will work in a pinch. I'll PM you my cell number. Lee
