Here's a little more done to it. I got the LH inner fender rust repaired, painted and undercoated the under side. I'll have to touch it up later as some of the undercoating wasn't 100% set up when I put the wheel well in last night. I still have to relocate some wires and hoses and attatch them to the truck. Today I removed my air filter pipe and cut it so the filter will reside higher and farther back to gain more room for the RH inner fender. Tomorrow I will fit the inner and then clean it up and paint it.

Awesome progress Ryan! That inner fender looks way better than my best pair. I'm still trying to figure out how to repair that brace down at the bottom that always rusts from the inside out.
You have any more pictures of your repair.
I really like the custom emblems too.

Thanks! No sorry I don't have any more pics of the rust repair on these. The rust was in the same spot yours is. Well, actually mine had rust in both upper mounting holes, and the lower too. I just cut the rusted areas out, wire wheeled them, and then cut 1/8" thick patches and welded them in. Then I welded the inside bracket to the patch and ground them smooth. On one of them I just welded the rust out of it but it was a PITA! For some reason, my inners had undercoating or some goo in between the supports and inner fender. Too bad it didn't help keep them from rusting. :lol:

Last night I got the RH inner fender painted and this morning I installed it. Then I had to beat on it so the air filter would go on. I will have to redo these inner fenders later on.................

The above picture was before I tried shutting the hood. The hood hinge got all up in the air filter's goods so I had to rearrange it again.

I finally drilled the mounting holes for my front bumper reinforcement bars and installed them. This is another part that is different from 2wd to 4wd on these trucks.

Tomorrow I have to install my new headliner and trim, install the sun visors, touch up some scratches, I'm going to try to paint the black on my trim, and clean the bed out. If I have time, I'm going to try to build a trans shifter from a stock handle too. Then it's off to KC!

I've got your trailer queen............ :lol: Only reason it's being trailered right now is because it isn't finished. It could be sitting in the yard doing nothing but I choose to take it and show it off a little bit.

Hey Ryan. Truck is sure looking sharp. Hows it running ? Do you know how I move my build thread or who I ask to move it over here. I seem to be spending most of my time here checking out what everyone is up to. I took my 56 to the pull last nite . Had a ton of fun. Going to put a update now. Not too many people on the 55 to 59 side into this kind of thing tho .

Ya the pull was lots of fun . Looking forward to twaeaking the truck this winter and going back next year , Actually we have 3 pulls al within 20 min of here . Should be fun .

The easiest to see what mod is online is to go to the bottom of the main forum page where it lists all the members online and click on a RED name and PM them.

it might be the fact youre using a little too mush bandwith on photobucket , it could be solved if you oprn up a second accound under a different name and email adress so the load gets shared between the two

I stole the wheels off this truck to put on my 95 F-350 and put my old 16.5's on this truck. Now I have to start thinking about building something to store it in for winter as it won't be residing in the shop full time.

better make provisions for the smoke when building the storage like a small extractor fan right about where the exaust is or you have to enter the space wearing a boilersuit over time

Yeah, it's still sitting on the floor. I haven't decided how I want to mount that thing yet. :LOL: Plus then it might rust too. Don't want that!

Don't want to get it dirty. :lol: When I was going down the drive way my UPS gay came up so I got out of his way and we started BS'n so I just left it there to snap some quick pics. It might be the last time for a while it can be photographed before it comes apart for the next stage....................... :lol:

Today I decided I'd go start the truck as I wanted to see how well it started in the cold. It was 25* out, there are no grid heaters, and no, it isn't plugged in. It's been sitting out there for 2 weeks or longer. I was really surprised it fired right up. No coughing, no smoke other than what's normal. It actually started better than my daily driver 12v. (Which I still need to hook up the grid heater on as well.)

I still haven't finished the wiring and lights. Plus the clutch hydros aren't quite right. I'll be solving that soon. :lol: And the biggest excuse, I've been trying to get the Excursion running and done.
