It's just a longblock so I will be assembling parts over the winter to get it ready. That is the same hole I used for the temp sender. The original adapter I bought from S&P was a POS, so a fellow board member made me a couple that are the bomb:

They work great! I had a small leak from the beginning, it seeped between the adapter and the sending unit, and it would drip onto the manifold. Not really a big problem, but man oh man burnt antifreeze stinks bad! So when I was finishing up the A/C I pulled the adapter out and used pipe dope between the sending unit and adapter, and between the adapter and the head. No leaks now! :metal:

You will need the cluster from a 90-91 Suburban, Blazer or dually. Those used an electric speedo. The PCM from the LS will have one wire that will go to the new speedo, and the hookup is simple. The speedo, and entire gauge cluster, is sourced from a 90-91 Blazer, Suburban or dually. The one I got is out of a Blazer. The electric speedo only needs one output wire fed to it from the PCM. When I got the cluster, I followed every circuit from the pin to see where it went, and made a drawing of the connector on the cluster and noted each pin and where it went. Today when I pulled the original cluster, I did the same thing noting wire color, what is was for, and what pin # it was in. Then I made another drawing of pin numbers, and where I needed to put each wire for the new cluster. The original cluster had 3 ground wires running to it, the new one only needed one, so I cut the other 2 off. That gave me a wire/pigtail I could use to run the speedo output wire to and put it in the right hole on the connector.

I actually made these adapters for Bob/Fred. I had some fall off scrap pieces that I made these for a few board members. I could make more if I had the material. C360 or C-3600 free machining brass hex stock.
Also, he used the oem style gauges electronic from an 88 up burb I believe.
