Here is a better picture of the truck, just finished swapping out the Dana 44 with drum brakes to a 1987 Dana 60 with disc brakes.

Have had it for a couple of years now was painted yellow when I got it. I have put an Accel Hei super coil on it, I have a MSD 6A digital ignition control but have to fabricate a mounting plate for it. I have a Holley 650 ultra double pumper to put on it as well. My son has picked up some linkage parts and a 700r4 kick down synchronizer when I get those pieces I well install the Holley. The truck has a 30 over 350 and a 700r4, a np 205 transfer case, a Dana 60 front diff and a Eaton 1 ton rear both are 4.10 geared. When I changed the front diff I put on all new tie rods, new calipers, new pads, new upper king pin pivot bushings, a off road design steering block riser(cut the turning radius nearly in half) a Rancho 5000 steering damper. I sand blasted the diff and painted it with Cloverdale DP90 epoxy primer. It has Headers and 3 inch exhaust with Flowmaster 70 series mufflers. I have two engine choices to swap into it next winter a 1970 1/2 LT1 steel crank 2.02 angle plug heads factory windage tray, the works, or a 2009 6.2 litre L92 from a Denali. I'm really fussy and always tinkering I drive it daily in the summer.

NICE!! Check out Laidbackrecreations, they're having a sale on Vintage Air kits. You can search for the name and find their posts, or send them a PM. Just ordered mine today. The heat here in TX is pretty bad too. Unbearable to drive without A/C in this heat. It looks like you've got a very nice truck. Congrats and :welcoem:

Hey All, I'm new to your forum and am honored to be here. I thought the first thing I would do is to post pics of my 1958 GMC, 350 (2-1/2 ton) Grain Dump Truck, and my 1982 GMC 1 ton dually 4x4. Both were bought here in Illinois, the State of Confusion. The 58 is in real clean condition with no rust out. It has a transplant Pontiac 316, with 4-speed trans and split axle. The 82 is a rust free Texas truck, and also runs a 4-speed, with a rebuilt 454. The handsome kid is my grandson Drew. Thanks for letting me post.

Oh, yeah. Currently, I am wondering if anyone can tell me where to get a set of diamond plate running boards for the 82? Thanks again.

:welcoem: from Texas! There is a wealth of information and knowledge to soak up on this forum, so look around and you should get plenty of inspiration. Check out the section for the '58 here and the '82 here
