Is it just me or is the color the same as Cloud 9?... the piece we saw the other day looked to be more of a teal color...

Ok now how about some progress, the last week or so has been spent trying to figure out how to get more lift out of the back, so I robbed the F9100 bags off of Cloud 9 and switched the 9000 bag on to it , that gave me 3 more inches of lift and a heavier rated bag to carry the extra load of the heavier blazer, also a little worried about the stability we moved the bags to the outside of the frame rails. Of course we needed a tow package since it is an SUV so I made a tow package for it

Since we made new top bag mounts we also had to make new bottom bag mounts. With our extra 3 inches of travel from the taller bags we now have to redesign the rear shock setup for a shock that can travel 10 inches so here is that progress

Clean work, it's awesome to see these projects being done by people other than professional builders.

Mike, any way to show what that shock setup looks like fully extended? I'm not quite able to visualize it. Looks pretty complex and sweet though!

Wait, I think I figured it out looking at it a little longer. I couldn't tell at first that the lower shock mount oscillates as the axle drops.

Awesome progress all around. I haven't said much lately, but I've been following along closely and am mucho impressed. Great work!

I think the rear system that I have wasn't quite designed for the amount of travel that I wanted it to have, Scott's has been great to help me with anything I have needed

MIke when u have time...remind me of what u used on bottom of C-9 cab...and would u use it again....I'm fixin to be at the point of what-to-do...I normally paint it ....and my cab is super slick...but with so much bed panel exposed under raised bed and being original bedsides they are not near as slick.....thought about a spray-on material like lizard skin or something similar........thoughts??...........jim

watahyahknow 08-31-2013 12:32 PM

Re: Slosh Tubz new company project "Square Peg" frame laying 1987 GMC Jimmy

couldnt you use bedliner , only downside to that is you never get it off again for sheetmetal repair

67cheby 08-31-2013 12:55 PM

Re: Slosh Tubz new company project "Square Peg" frame laying 1987 GMC Jimmy

Lizard skin is a great product we are using it on the inside of the tub but I don't like the looks of it underneath , we went with a true hot spray in liner underneath Cloud 9
