Thanks...I always wanted white seat frames with a dark leather. I'm excited to how it will look once the upholstery gets done.... This fabric will be on my door panels on the sides in the back and as an inset into the seats...

I decided on my tail lights. I went with 50's Pontiac LED tail lights. The price was right and they will work as running lights, tail lights and turn signals. You could also get them with a bucket to french them in. I was planning on making buckets but they were cheap so I hit the easy button. I like how they turned out.....I will end up giving the trim rings a satin brushed finish to tone down the bling and tie into the rest of the trim.

I've had this coil mount for a bit. Basically it simulates the look of a distributor. I have seen several on the internet and everyone keeps it a secret as to where they got them. I found this one from a small fab shop. I don't recall the name off hand but I have it in my email. He was cheap and offered great service. I also purchased vintage looking plug wires. These are black with green tracers. I think they will offer nice contrast....I'm not 100% sure this will clear the firewall but I have my fingers crossed. I didn't have this when I had the mock up block mounted

Any more photos of your coil mounts? Do they attach to the bolts on the valley cover?

Yes it is bolted to the valley cover... It's slick and pretty compact. If your using the tall OEM oil pressure sensor you would have to modify the bracket to clear. I will move my sensor to the side of the block.

Thanks, I'm trying. Selling the 48 funded kicking this project into high gear. I just ordered all of the SS pipe & mufflers for my exhaust. I really want to get the exhaust done prior to dropping the body back on. I have a lot of parts waiting so once the body goes on it should pick up speed....

I've been working on somebody work and paint. I had some metal patch panels that I put in a while back. I always had the idea of blending in the old rust with new rust....Over all I'm pretty happy with the results. I plan to add some detail with an air brush then treat it with flat clear. I know this is not everyone cup of tea but I didn't want a show paint job like my 48 had as I plan to drive this one more.....On to the pics.

This is a before and after of the splash pans. The rear pan was actually a bright orange color before I started screwing with it. I show a close up of the front splash pan. I basically extenuated the rust that was on the panel... The simulated rust has a texture to it and blends in with the actual rust...I'm getting closer to putting the body back on the frame for good.

Keep in mind the back side of each panel has been treated to raptor liner so it should be very durable. I don't think most people spend the time/money to make it look nice on the bottom side when It will look like a rusted finish on top. For me, I wanted the bottom side of be really nice so if I ever wanted to put a shiny paint job on it I would not have to take the body off of the frame (which is a pain with Suburbans).

Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to dropping the body back on. We are working on a custom SS exhaust system and then I should be good to drop on the body.
