I like it, I have a 1959 model 630 that needs the same treatment. It still has the factory 471 Detroit in it.

The Maletesta Chev was at the Robert Manley farm in Myakka City Florida, last I knew. Stopped there enroute to Florida Flywheeler's show in February 2017 .

Re: GM Semis
You're right. I have been slackin'. Busier than a billy goat with two peckers lately. Glad I checked in, but gotta go. I'll post something and comment soon cuz I love these picture threads. And that fat cab Jimmy is at that famous photo hot spot

Never a good day! A whole lot of work ahead in that picture. Whoops!
I slowed up on posting pictures when comments were made that made me question what pictures I should show and who's is what. My feelings are screw all that. Once I picture is on the internet, I find it, and can save it for my own enjoyment as well as share for the same purpose, I'll share it. That's how I feel about my own pictures I have taken. Who cares and what does it hurt? I'm not claiming I took the pictures. Just "Hey, look at this truck picture". |

I don't get hung up on copyrights on pictures as long as your not claiming it's yours and you are not trying to make money off of it.
|
Re: GM Semis
I do the same. Never claim it is my property. If they put it on the internet , they want people to see it. So We are just helping them out. Post On Guys ...;):gmc2:

Re: GM Semis
Keep those pictures flowing Tim !!
We appreciate them all. |
Re: GM Semis
I agree as well. If I put a picture online, I expect that people might see & maybe they will like it. Maybe something they see that they want to do to their truck or they like the location the picture was taken or whatever. As long as someone else doesn't claim that they took the pic, I'm cool with people sharing it. I'm the same way with sharing other peoples' pics. If I didn't snap it, I don't claim it.

Re: GM Semis
think they call it public domain
|
Re: GM Semis
Even public domain gets interrupted by people who think they should be the only ones to display & share photos.

I wish I could have bought Fred Craig's Cannonball after he passed away. Another friend did, but has since sold it.

Re: GM Semis
The sign looks like it says "Paul Bunyan's Pine". *searches Google* Whoa. I found a few pics on Getty image's website. You know they disable right clicks, so I can't directly link them here. I found one of the Paul Bunyan Pine truck & found others of GM trucks.

Re: GM Semis
If you like this sort of thing, here is some interesting reading regarding Red River Lumber Company.
http://www.citlink.net/~lahontan/redriver.htm As I understand it this picture was probably about the time they were switching from railroad to trucks. It appears Red River followed the path of so many lumber empires of the day. |
Re: GM Semis
The picture in NoStopN's 2nd link is showing a '62 or '63 Chevy, Spoke Wheels, Tandem Axle and looks like it has Air Brakes.
Picture in the 3rd link is a '62 or '63 GMC. Could be a 6500. |
