Oh, bad azz! Cant wait to see it in the light!

Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd
The paint came out pretty flaw free but I always cut them down & polish to a super flat shiny finish. That has to happen this week since I'm headed over to Florida next week. Too bad HartRod is not closer to Orlando. I'd love to see his projects for a little motivation!!!!

Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd
I totally lost steam on this project due to other projects that needed my attention. Right now it is sitting in the corner waiting for the headers to come back from the ceramic coater. I still have to paint the front end. I think I may start back on everything next week.

Sound deadened the floor, inner quarters and roof today. We use a product called VB1X from Cascade Engineering. It goes on purple and turns black when it dries. It really gets rid of the feeling of being in a tin can. After 2.5 Gallons we have no echoes in this truck! :metal:

Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd
Been wondering how that spray on stuff works.
|
Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd
Nice work, I'm going to have to look into that sound deadening spray while I have my interior out.
|
Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd
The process I follow is to spray all of the floor/inner panels & roof with the spray in VB1X. I then go over the high noise areas with the roll out stuff that conforms with heat.
