Lookin good Hoser.
Davids right. Isn't the weather there why they call it the land of enchantment?

Thanks!

The weather hasn't been that great out here lately. It was horribly windy there for a while, we had a few late snow showers with few nice days in between. It's supposed to be nice here for a while now. Hopefully we can get some stuff done.

Great work Joe. You and the wife make a great team. The covers and air cleaner look nice.

Nice covers. I had a set of M/T covers on an old Firebird many many years ago. I did the same thing except with black.

It just gave it enough to make the covers pop. Just like yours does now. :metal:

Friday, May 1st was a very good day. Me and my lady went up to Rowe to work on the '65. We started off by putting the new, pretty valve covers on the engine...:metal:

Re: Progress on my woman's '65 Short/Fleet.

Then I had to pull out all the plugs and squirt some WD-40 into the cylinders. This engine was rebuilt 2 years ago, and last time we tried to start it, it was too tight and the starter didn't crank it fast enough. So with the plugs off, I grabbed a battery and a few wires and cables and turned the engine a few revolutions with the starter to loosen it up. I reinstalled the plugs and used a little gas can to feed it... On the second crank, she fired right UP!!!! She's ALIVE!!!:metal: And the 350 sounds very healthy...It's gonna be a runner!!

After hearing the engine run and playing with that for a little while, I remember I brought my steering wheel puller with me so I installed the deluxe steering wheels we purchased from LILRED66 a while back...:chevy:

Then, I hooked up the '04 to the '72 chassis that the bed was sitting on and drug around to where the truck was...after making a few phone calls and found a friend that was willing to come up and give me a hand...Thanks Kris!!!

Then after seeing the bed on the truck...we were even more excited! I had to mock up a fender to get a little preview. We are very satisfied with the stance/tire wheel size combo...:chevy::metal::chevy:
