That's the trailer hitch I am looking for. If you are interested in parting with it I would love to have it. Any Interest??

DANTIP, at this point and time I'm not sure where this truck is going to end up. If I decide to part with it, I will definitely keep you posted.

Wow, I'm speechless. What a find! Is that seat two-tone? What is the paint code/color?

Thanks for the comment LEEVON!

Here are the options per the SPID and "Commercial and Truck Order" form:

14M35AA - Powerglide Transmission
14R51AA - 815x14x4 WW (Tires and I could be off on a number of two)
14A11CA - Tinted Glass
14P03AA - Chromed Hubcaps
14U63MA - Radio-Push Button
14VF1CA - Chrome Bumper-Rear
14Z53AE - Ammeter-Oil Gauge
14Z84CC - Custom Sport Truck
14G15HB - Green Vinyl Custom Trim

Date Produced 1-6-69
Paint - 14533AD White/Light Green
CS10734 - Fleetside Pickup

The seat is a two tone color combo with a dark green color on the sides and a lighter green on the seat/back. I will try to get another shot of the seat, but it will have to wait a few days until I can get the truck out of the garage.

Very nice(and lucky) find. You have us all jealous now.;) If it were mine, I think I'd have to leave it original, but a drop and some wheels would look nice too.

I'm still scratching my head on that one. We did drive down to Chamois a couple of weeks ago with the truck and found the old dealership and a few people that remember the owner and the shop. So we grabbed a few photos and headed on down the road. :D

I was amazed when I opened the door and saw the floor mats there an in as good of shape as they are in. Still pinching myself everytime I walk into the garage. :D

Awesome truck!!!

Is the cardboard that was covering the gas tank original? My barn find had cardboard there too, and I just thought someone put it there for kicks. I don't think I threw it out yet...

As far as I know,... he still has it. I think he's ready to make someone a good deal on it.
He wants to buy some suspension parts. :metal:

The cardboard is original to the truck, and I think few are still there when most people acquire their trucks. I think that some companies offer the card board replacements but I don't believe they are as nice as the originals.

I know it's taboo to ask and you don't have to give exact number, but, how much would I have to pay to get a ride like yours? $5k 10k 20k more? It would cost a bank roll to build one that nice!
With the exception of the drivetrain it is exactly what I would order if they were still in production. I am the proud 2nd owner of an old survivor mine was no where near the condit yours is in. It did have all the documentation that you speak of. Unfortunately, I was 17 when I purchased it and didn't know what I had at the time. The first thing I did was get rid of the nasty wooden bed and had it painted "guards red". I used mine as a daily driver for about 5 years. I hope to restore mine some day but we are in the middle of the 69 project and 86 project. I look every day on Craigslist to find a deal like you got. If I find one, I probably won't have the cash on hand to buy it.

Re: Time for a name change...

Mike, thanks for bringing this back to the top. It's amazing the threads you forget about.

I haven't exactly realeased what I got the truck for, but I will say I got a "nice" deal. For the Midwest it was a once in a lifetime purchase. It was a nicely optioned truck, I'm just surprised they didn't consider adding a V8, but then again, maybe the original owner's son would have wanted to drive it more and thrashed it, so the inline works.

Brad - "Six Appeal"

:agree: Gotta have it... :D

I still look on CL for amazing local deals, but as far as truck in our area, they were generally used and abused.

Re: Time for a name change...

Yes, there really aren't many survivors out there, if they did survive the owner usually thinks they know how much the truck is worth. Even if it way low or way high.

Fact is, people in our region bought their trucks to use as trucks and that's what happened to 99.9% of them. Enjoy your ride!
