Sweet , did you get the kit?

ruffrida2005 02-02-2010 08:29 PM

Re: "Project 64"

Yeah man the kit got here just like that. So I got on the CNC and made some new mounting brackets for the lower bars. Made all the mounting tabs, stripped the paint off that was crappy.

Gonna put some zerk fittings in the rod ends tomorrow at work.

I ordered some more 2X3 3/16 for the wishbone crossmember. Gonna cut it all up and hopefully start tacking it together tomorrow. I'll try get some pics tomorrow up of everthing I've made and done.

Your truck is gonna lay frame, what the heck do you need an e-brake for?

Re: "Project 64"

Hey broke when you go to your thread, just copy and paste the address on mine. And when you get a chance you can go to your user CP and go to your sig and post it on there as well.

Creep I was thinking that in TX you have to have one. I thought I saw it somewhere on the DMV site but I may be wrong. I'll have to look again.

Nice parts

Re: "Project 64"

The suspension parts I got. I'm not going to use. I cut the ends off them and I'm going to make the bars longer. They were too short and I couldn't get the angles that I wanted. Waiting on the chow saw this weekend to build another crossmember so I can start mounting stuff.

Hey man, how low are you going? Cut up good parts like that. At least you got the nad's to do that! I had to swap cabs on my truck also and a few other parts. but its quicker to tell you what I kept. I only kept the frame, bellhousing, spindles, rear trailing arms and believe it or not the ignition switch. that truck should have a E-bay sticker on it! My front and rear fenders still smell like rice! Sent you more of that grinder art I've been doing

Re: "Project 64"

well you know i"m running the SD raised crossmember. I'm sitting at 6* down. I dont want to raise it up because it will get in the way of the exhaust, and I dont want to cut the hell out of my tunnel. Nate PB said that is what he runs on his trucks with no problem. But he hasn't got back to use with part numbers and where he gets his from.

Re: "Project 64"

Well hey there you go ;)

We could build you what ever you wanted but it might be better to find a drive line shop around your area just to save on the shipping costs. Search Inland Truck Parts thats where i work and there are a couple in Texas, if you dont have a shop around your area that does drive shafts.
