You can get a nice aluminum radiator made to fit our trucks on ebay for around 300-400 and fans for 100-200 plus a controller for another 100. So for 500-700 you can get that setup....2K would be for name brand griffen or be-cool rad and fans but there are some cheap alternatives that board members have used and been happy with.

Thanks for the info, I called "Be-Cool" tech line, and I told them what I had. They gave me the following part numbers for a direct-fit alum radiator/with twin 11" fans/controller & hardware kit: No. 82058. also part No. 75095-air cond. relay kit. Be-Cool says this set-up is good up to 500HP engines. Summit racing had everything in stock, I should have it by thursday. Another issue put to rest!!;);) Cost= $1400.00

I checked the rear shock angle on the rear end, bounced the rear up and down, the shocks are not doing much dampening at the 35 deg. angle they are at now since I lowered the truck:waah: I guess I will order the shock relocator brackets from early and stand the shocks up more vertical. Also the Steering Column bearings are shot, real sloppy:waah:......Oh well, its only money...Ouch!!!!!..............but I'm having a good time:lol:

That's something I learned all to long ago... you only live once right? :D

I hope because I've been spending my retirement fund like its going out of style, and I have 20+ years before I can retire.

Thanks,

I have Vintage Air and a factory radiator with no overheating issues. How tall are your new tires?

Mike,
Another thought on why you are doing fine on your stock radiator set-up compared to my radiator needs here in houston.......I know it gets hot in the summer in Missouri however in Houston the average summer day is in the mid to upper 90's with 90 percent humidity. Heat transfer devices do not work very efficent in these conditions. What I bought may seem like a little overkill, but better safe than sorry.;) I grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in North Texas. It gets darn hot there too, but the Humidity is on average about 40 percent. I have lived in Houston for twenty five years and have never got used to the summer weather down here!!!:waah:

Oh....Nate, Retirement, Whats that?!!!

Radiator install pics, Bumbera's did a great job installing the engine/trans/radiator components, the attention to detail is amazing with all the custom fabricated little brackets for the wiring and hoses!!! The radiator overflow catch tank came out nice!!!!

Thanks, I measured my truck, but not the tires. It is not lowered and it measured alittle over 31" in the front and alittle under 32" in the back.

Mike,
My truck is lowered 2.5 in. in the front and 3 in. in the rear, measured from the top of the wheelwheels-31 in. in the rear & 30" in the front. I really do not want to lower it anymore.
Looks like your truck is just a bit higher than mine.

Dale

If I have a 9" wide rear wheel what size tire would about the same height as a 275/50 -17. Thanks
