Rear seat ----> DONE! And excuse me for swearing, but ****! It looks good! :)

I had them move the seam from the center of the front trim on the seat to the sides and changed from a simple top stitch to a flat French seam and it made out to be a great choice! Especially with the contrast tan stitching...

Today, I also got all the stereo system wiring done and ready for the subwoofer box and amp rack... :)

Front seat should be done tomorrow or Wednesday and then it's on to the door panel inserts and door pockets! :)

Awesome, awesome build man. Very similar to what I have in mind for my 91 Burb, a tach cluster is going to be a little bit more work in my rig tho.

The rear seat belts are almost done at Ssnake-Oyl, I cannot wait to get the front belts out to them...mine are haggered! Also, a lot of the NOS interior door panel trim pieces showed up already as well! Things are looking good, the interior will be done pretty soon!

I finally have the perfect condition fabled 15629600 4L80E-to-NP205 adapter on its way too! (I have a bad adapter as well, great paper weight, BTW!) Now I just need the CompuShift 2 controller and the built 4L80E will be ready to go in! It looks like the SRW swap and 4L80E swap will happen around the same time!

Re: Project Evil Tow Rig - '87 CC SRW Conversion

Subwoofer enclosure is almost done! :) measures in at .7997 cu. ft. And should drop the Q slightly from what JL Audio recommends for the 13.5" 13TW5 I am using! :)

The enclosure is made of 3/4"MDF and fully joined with Titebond III ultimate glues and 2" countersunk #8 screws spaced every 4" to make sure everything is nice and solid!

I am going to add small braces in right where the subwoofer mounts and then finish with the end plates.

After its all done, the same fabric and dark leather used on the seats is going to be padded and the entire enclosure will be wrapped for aesthetics! I'm liking it, now I have to finish the amp/capacitor rack and the trim panels behind the rear seat.

Awesome!
Seats look great!
I like the box also. It will fit behind the rear bench in the stock location?
I can't wait to see it installed?:metal:

The box will fit behind the seat of a crew cab or standard cab (with the seat adjusted all the way back). It has 3/8" clearance to
The seat at all points and still has plenty of depth for the JL Audo 13.5" TW5 sub. We technically have room to build this box large enough for (2) of these JL subs and if you are using a 10" shallow sub, I could fit (3) or possibly even (4) back there!

Thanks for the compliments! My local friend who is a custom upholsterer did them, my work was done mostly on trade, so I don't know what he would charge at retail to do these seats.

Love the build so far. Great job on the interior choices too! Seats look amazing. I really like how the sub box is coming together as well. Great work man.

More NOS parts are on the way and some already here! I got the leather wrapped (former velour) door inserts back and I'm starting to re-assemble the rear door panels with NOS brushed aluminum inserts, new switches, new door handle inserts and a few other NOS goodies! :)

Rear passenger ash tray, now known as chewing gum wrapper holder. :D

Re: Project Evil Tow Rig - '87 CC SRW Conversion

On my Trailblazer forum we were actually discussing this...we find it amazing that this era of truck had an ash tray withing reach of every passenger yet no cup holders! The designers must have figured a beer in a cozy fit perfectly in the lap but it wasn't wise to do the same with a cigarette! :)
