Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
2/4 drop (springs and shackles) w/ 275/60/15 all around. I think I need to put OG springs back on and get 3" spindles.

currently a work in progress. not on 15s but its still static dropped. figure its about 4 to 5 in the front and a flip kit with shackle in the rear with some springs pulled out only because thats what i did in highschool and thought it was cool lol . sad . now i need to buy new springs or go coil over with 4 link. im torn. bed is currently off.

My clear coat peeling peach! Current build project. It has 2.5 spindles and 1 coil cut, and rear flip. 15x8 up front and 15x10 in the rear. Installing a 5.3/4L80E with 76mm turbo and retaining the A/C. Going to wait until all of the weight is back on the front end before deciding whether or not more cutting of the front spring will be required.

Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
1979 Big 10 Dropped on stocks, awaiting 20" Detroit steel.
The drop in case others want to know.... Western chassis 2.5" spindles and 2" coils Belltech rear flip kit, didn't use c notch yet Belltech drop shocks 4" and 6" Got 4.5" out of the front, and I think 6.25" from rear. There is about 2" between the rear axel and frame still. And truck is leveled at 26.5" to the center of each fender well. Stock 15x8 with 255/75-15 truck turns but rubs at full lock. I would not recommend 15" with drop spindles as I had to cut the balance weight off the back of the rims because new spindle steering rod mount is about 1/8" from touching the inner rim lip. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...sroxppfxx.jpeg |

Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
SWB85, I really like the look of your 4/4 drop and may have to get 2" spindles to go along with my 2" springs!
Does anyone make a 2" spindle??? |
Re: static dropped square bodies with 15s
Not sure....I used 2.5" spindles and cut the factory springs
