Re: Project "Shifted"
I really like the direction of this build it's very clean and updated with the original classic body lines. Nice set up.....thats going to be a very nice ride for a first ride. It's nice to see kids in the shop and them taking a intrest in it. I have 2 daughters that are in my shop often and we haven't built them a ride yet the deal is if you wanna drive it you have to help build it. Great job I wish that was in my garage......

Well with a lot of help from BuckSS (thanks Ernie!!!), we finally got the chassis bolted back together. What do you think? :D I still need to run the brake lines, fuel lines, finish welding the rear bag brackets, sandblast and paint rear end, have the driveshaft built and bolt in the fuel tank. So it shouldn't be much longer and the chassis will be ready to set the cab back on....:metal:. |
Re: Project "Shifted"
I just love the look of a fresh rolling chassis. If i had room in the shop, I'd do one and leave it that way.

Re: Project "Shifted"
I'm subscribing! Love the project. I'm hoping to do something like this with my son someday. He's only 5 now, but every time I blink he's a year older. Got to work on that blinking thing...
Enjoy the project with you son! Chad |

*** I don't have a lot of pictures to post, but I have been making some minor progress on this one (even though I've been spending more time on mine...:D). Doing my best N2BILLET impersonation, I finished the front brake lines. I can now drop the motor back in and finish fuel lines and rear brake lines. After that, I can put the cab back on and maybe make some real progress, :metal:. I also have the accessory brackets figure out. I bought a set of the Holley LS bracket for my truck and it looks like they will work on his also ! PICS!!! |
Re: Project "Shifted"
Looks great rob, nice job on the brake lines. What did you use to run the brake lines through the frame. I like the way it looks.

Great job on the brake lines.
I finally got access to a set of good benders. I consider these the best. And it really makes a difference when bending lines. They are Swagelok brand,.. like these. |
