I made some good progress today, i was able to trim the areas of the TBlazer that interfered with the suburban sheet metal. This is just a basic mockup, but a big step for me, as i was unsure if the TBlazer radiator could live within the space given. It does, so im pretty happy!!

Hey man I just signed up on this forum and found your build. I am the guy that bought the 235 from you years ago for my 51 Chevy. Looks like another awesome build you have going. I will be watching this one

Re: 1966 Suburban...Sort of...Trailblazer SS SWAP
Thanks Bomp!
Now i just need someone to show me how to pound out a dent! No kidding, can anyone point me in the right direction? |
Re: 1966 Suburban...Sort of...Trailblazer SS SWAP
get a hammer and a dolly. HF is good enough to start.. If you hit them together, it'll expand (stretch) your metal. if you hit them near each other, you can push the dent back up. Get this book- The Key to metal bumping. East wood has it, among others. A great starting point.

Re: 1966 Suburban...Sort of...Trailblazer SS SWAP
Thanks Guys!!
I only work on this rig on the weekends. The NFL playoffs have not helped with that the last two weekends, no not much progress has been made. I hope to get some time in this coming weekend. |
