With the chrome around the windshield and rear glass, the chrome bumper sure looks like it should be there. Gives it a touch of class.

I am sure age is factor in rubber tires cracking. But, the biggest contributor is UV exposure. A spare tire does not get exposed to UV so they tend to not crack. Modern tires included.

What an incredible find! I’m curious what specific batteries did you order?

I just ordered normal Delco batteries. I believe they were 78PS. I just put repo “tops” on the new batteries to make them look original

Here’s an update on the bumpers. This truck didn’t come with a chrome front bumper from the factory. It was added in 1999 from my understanding. I was able to buy the original front and factory rear painted white bumpers from my old 2,000 mile blue short bed truck. I had to have the correct white front bumper on this truck.

Joe
Can I impose upon you to please shoot some close up detail of the engine bay fender setup? Specificly, the factory placement of the fuse link blocks, washer bottle on passenger side and relay on driver's side and holes. I am at a point of after fire paint for hood and fenders but I know I have some old holes that are not correct. May as well spend a hour and weld and fill while I'm at it.
I see the factory holes are still on the driver fender for the washer relocation. The hose route in you first picture was a surprise. I'm still not 100% sure how the relay was mounted.
Thank you very much
